Any fan that doesn't come to Edmonton games because they want to call them Eskimos is not a fan I want to be around... I 100% agree that spring football doesn't work for casual fans. It's meant to be a summertime sport.

He understands it just fine... It's pure and simple a Canadiana thing. "I will not give a Canadian job to an American"... It's that, and nothing more or less. I always want us to win, and do everything we can't I win, but I respect the Canadiana always... I respect where Osh is coming from.

In a game where you know your O is gonna have issues because they're short staffed... Inexcusable for the D to not show up...

****... Jimmy Burrows died?? Greatest sitcom director of all time. Probably better than Norman Lear. He had a golden touch and, you could make the case, was more responsible for Must See TV Thursdays than anyone. Absolutely brutal, but he was definitely getting up there.

It's really not that hot of a take guys... All US markets have an advantage. Financially, and anonymity for players. They will always attract the best players. Gary Lawless wrote a really great piece about it some years ago... Canadian teams (and Winnipeg most especially) will always have the deck stacked against them because the best players, by and large, do not want to be here.... Or at least would PREFER to play anywhere else. If I remember right, Lawless said something along the lines of "...the Jets may get lucky and win one once in our collective lifetimes, but it will always be a near impossibility..." Whereas places like California and Florida (not to mention places like Carolina) where nobody cares about hockey, will always attract the best players. The weather, the taxes, and the complete anonymity will always be most attractive to players. It's just logical... We don't have to like it, but it makes all the sense in the world.

Couldn't be happier for Ehlers. He was always a great soldier. I truly believe Winnipeg will never win a cup.. and Canadian teams are highly unlikely ever again (odds are just stacked too high against them)..... So any players that come here for awhile and try hard... I've got nothing but happiness for them when they go and win a cup somewhere else that they actually have a chance.

A good time to remind people that the ignore function exists. It's a tremendous feature that allows you to avoid crazy people whose comments you don't need.

Collaros was outstanding last night, full stop. As I've said for awhile, he can still be elite with the right pieces around him. I feel we mostly have that this year. Now, about the defense....
