I respect your opinion as much as anyone's, but for me, personally, I have never seen that...or never felt that vibe. I don't know what it says about ME, personally, but I have never felt the smugness/snobbiness that people talk about. I get that from every politician....

the short answer in all of this is that the Trudeau Grits are far less dangerous than any other party right now. Things are still rocky, economically, around the world, and we need stability right now...not drastic measures. As has been mentioned, coming out of the pandemic, Canada is faring better than most/all of the G7 nations, and we need to just keep riding this out for awhile....IMO.- US Politics

I'm curious if Kiermaier can play even half of those 100.... they Jays brought in some names that were pretty great 5-10 years ago, but have a lot of injury concerns now...- The Winnipeg Thread
last year, the CAA Manitoba list of "Worst Roads in MB" had the 307 through the Whiteshell as the #1 worst road in the province, and I can definitely understand that one. Spent my whole life, growing up, running up and down that highway. There's just so much traffic, it is constantly battered and bruised...- The Winnipeg Thread
I've got a buddy that lives on Waller Ave, just off Pembina (where my wife and I crash when we come home for games) and that street is regularly on the list of Manitoba's Worst Streets (in terms of road condition) so this meme speaks to me.......it's a constant zig zag to avoid the cracks and potholes and other **** on there...- 2023 CFL Draft Discussion
count me in the camp that the Bombers are taking a "chance" moving Adamson to the OL because this year's draft is super thin on OL, so they figure this is as good as drafting a mid-to-late round OL this year. And as JBR mentioned, it's something that's been done frequently, with Chris Walby being a very notable example...- Canadian Politics
latest polls (as of this morning) have the UCP ahead by about 5 points... it'll all come down to Calgary.- Random Jets News
Suffice to say Wheeler not having his best season:- Canadian Politics
this is the UCP that have a very good chance of winning re-election because "well, it's still better than Notley....because reasons!" Just wildly unfit to govern, yet the population of this province......................woof.- Canadian Politics
This woman is out of control and wildly unfit to lead a province....- The 2023 Wildcard Standings Thread
Yes, that definitely explains their lack of scoring............. Hellebuyck has been fine, with very little help in front, as well. The issue is that the stars up front went MIA. Again, I feel like something happened to them mentally...maybe something went down in the room... I don't know. But whatever it was, they've collapsed.- Manitoba Politics
I personally think it's Kinew, himself. I'm not sure what, exactly, it is about him.......but I think he's holding them back, personally.- The 2023 Wildcard Standings Thread
something happened, psychologically, to this team around the Christmas break.... don't know what, but something went down. You don't just fall off a cliff like this. Would be really curious to know what the hell happened. Either way, this team isn't going anywhere...even if they fluke out a playoff spot, they're done in 4. Tough way to finish what was once a very promising season.- Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season

somewhere in this thread, there was a discussion about whether Jones would stay with the young Zacharias team, and I was adamant they were staying together because all teams were in on a 4 year deal for the Oly Quadrennial. I want to apologize for the hard line stance on that. I'm not sure what's happening with Jones/Zach, but I've since learned that this past year was a trial (pardon the pun) run for all teams and that no commitments were made for anyone beyond this year. Next year is when they start handing out berths to the 2025 Oly Trials, so a lot of teams are/will be mixing it up for next year......- Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season
Hamilton, under the Caretaker, also does a decent job, I think. Ottawa has been doing a good job since day 1. Sounds like the new guy in Montreal is going to be doing a lot. So it's Calgary and Toronto that really do next to nothing. SF27 is off his nut in a lot of posts lately, but he's right that the Stamps ownership group is just AWFUL at marketing the team, the population of Calgary doesn't give a **** about the Stamps, the stadium is garbage and is a bit of a pain to get to (tho at least there's the c-train). There's a lot of changes that need to be made to the Stamps to make them relevant again.- Don't Look Back - 2022/2023 Bombers Off Season
the pre-game tailgate at the stadium is a lot of fun. Our pre-game usually starts at Stone Angel for GOOD beer, but we always end up at the tailgate area for at least a half hour before we head in to our seats. It really is a great time every time at the ol' barn (and the winning doesn't hurt, either...)- Curling
Time zones, horrible ice conditions, weird rocks.... No excuses because everyone had to deal with it and the back end (Val and Kerri) were not good for most of the week. Shitty way to end the season yet again.- 2022/2023 Off-Season (League/Non-Bombers-specific News)
