Burris and Glenn at qb for extended periods will do that though. BLM is less of a choker, just had to contend with some other pretty good teams lately. Edmonton last year had a real tough D.

yet they still only have 2 more wins than the Bombers do. It's time as Bomber fans to realize that our team is actually one of the best teams in the league too.

The key to me is for the offence to actually stay on the field and don't give the Stamps offense all the chances they want to score points. Put some drives together and keep the ball away from the Stamps and you don't need to worry about if they can force enough turnovers out of BLM.

I would say that with only one team with a better record and the Lions with the same points and a game in hand that we are already at the big kids table.

**** the Riders but it's good for the Bombers to have the Esks drop back further. I don't care how I just want playoffs for the Bombers.

Of course they can win, but it'll be tough and they'll need to be firing on all cylinders to do it.
  7. He got the easier job last year while washington took the hard matchups. Make no mistake he was never as good as washington.
  8. They'll like what I tell them to like
  9. You get 3 different GMs in that time you're going to get a lot of qbs. They all want to bring in their own guys. Especially considering that Kelly left em with absolute nothing at the position. Montreal is quickly catching up ever since Calvillo retired though.
  10. Dude Johnson has been doing the matador tackling all season long. He has had a couple good games but mostly he's been underwhelming. Do you think the Bombers would have insisted on Heath in the Willy trade if they felt Johnson was playing great football?
  11. I still say Mack could find talented players, where he sucked was finding the right coaches. Lapo wanted robots who never took chances and Burke wanted guys to go under the bus. With all the turmoil surrounding that team I don't think anyone at the qb position really got a fair shake.

I don't think unsung hero is the right term cause everyone at the time talked about what a great add he was for the team, trouble was he wasn't here very long being as old as he was.
  13. You also have most of the company HQs in Calgary as opposed to say Edmonton so there is a lot more money (well there used to be) in the city and a lot more white collar types than comparable prairie cities. Plus you get people from the low rungs of society suddenly making more money than they ever should have been trying to act like they aren't lower class people and that is really annoying.
  14. No even in 2007 when he was damned close to the MVP the knock on Glenn was his inconsistency in the deep ball. I think you are remembering later career Glenn more so than early career Glenn. The two are very similar players.

I will go back to the Messam train, don't let me down this time....
  16. But as players I don't think they're all that dissimilar. Obviously Glenn got starts consistently earlier in his career than Willy did, with some better teams but the way they play the game not so different.
  17. Calgary really is Toronto west sometimes. I like the city but there seems to be a lot of people trying to be more than they are rather than just embracing what they are.
  18. Give him til next week and I suspect that's what you will see. Bunch of ball hawks.
  19. Calgary sports fans are horrible people. To a lot of them the CFL isn't good enough, more NFL interest from the general population than CFL, but Noeller is right, a lot of the delta bravos in this town would rather go watch a stupid UFC event than the CFL. This town has a lot of the most annoying sports fans going.
  20. Of course you can come back from it. Confidence might be hard to rebuild but it can be done.
  21. Certainly makes it appear to be a meritocracy. Adams wasn't great against the Riders, probably to be expected with as long a layoff as he's had and I've really liked Fredericks game so happy that he still gets to play. I anticipate it'll be a good battle for spots the rest of the year and hopefully it pushes everyone to be better.

qb pressure is loosely defined as any time a defender makes a little bit of pee come out of the qb from fear.
  23. TSN talked about that, I forget who it was but they were giving Dressler tons of props for always being a creative guy doing different things to get open and he really did make Cox look like a jackass on the play.
  24. Running I'm really not concerned about, the OL we have now can move bodies and give backs room to work with, where you lose Harris is in the passing game cause he really is a key part of that.
  25. It was loud at the start and the boring offensive games quieted things down, happens when a game settles in to be fairly dull.
