  1. I think you are talking gms responsibilities and giving credit or blame to the coaches... Why is that?
  2. why do you keep ignoring the point that the very first season that MOS has had good depth he looks like a pretty damned good coach? Do you honestly believe that if Dickenson didn't inherit an already very good and very deep team that he still would have won as many games as he has? MOS with enough talent is a good coach, one of the best in the CFL this year, when he didn't have the required talent he didn't win a lot, but spoiler alert, when coaches don't have enough talent on their teams they don't win either. Did Scott Milanovich get stupid this year or does he just not have the talent anymore?

2 more than us, if Edmonton wins 2 games and the bombers win just 1 they're still sitting behind us. Or are we still pretending like this Bomber team is the one that sucks and is likely to lose out the season? Do we forget that we're one of the best teams in the league this year?

It's meaningless because they didn't start winning until they were all but eliminated from the playoffs. Once the pressure was off boom wins start happening, not a coincidence. The Riders to me really depend on what happens with Darian Durant. He's the key to that team and if they **** him around and opt for a younger guy I don't think it will end well.
  5. A circa 2003 Dave Dickenson, absolutely 100% agree.
  6. the guys talking about being more worried by Edmonton than Winnipeg or BC are totally Calgary, arrogant pricks. Hey Huffer, we got you right where we want you!

Riders are cleaning up the meaningless games cup. Lower their draft position and playing spoiler all for not.
  8. Dickenson stepped into the easier position in the league to be a head coach. Championship calibre team, best qb in the league, depth coming out their asses AND a damned fine ex-head coach to guide him if he needs it sitting in the GM chair. A lot different than the situation O'Shea stepped into. No depth, no NIs, very little high end talent, wet behind the ears qbs, rookie GM, team with a bad reputation making it hard to actually get people to come here... yeah wonder why things weren't all sunshine and roses from the get go.

So I am looking at the standings and the way I see it, if the Bombers win one game then both of Edmonton or BC need to win 3 games to catch them.... Possible I suppose. Truthfully I am more worried about Edmonton catching the Bombers than I am BC just because of the tie breakers and the super soft Edmonton schedule to end the season but who knows. As it stands now even if the Bombers don't win again Edmonton still has to go 2 out of 3 to pass us, and BC of course is the wild card. Just ******* win, it's that much easier. I'd be OK with a 12 win season.
  10. Calgary has been able to plug and play guys who are injured for many seasons now, fact is that Hufnagel has built a pretty damned talented and deep team over there and they were good with him coaching it and they continue to be good with Dickenson coaching them and I suggest that the reason for that is they have depth that allows them to not stumble when players are hurt. That was the single biggest thing holding the Bombers back the 2 seasons prior to this one. The team got hurt and fell apart because the depth ******* sucked. The biggest change this season? There is a lot more depth on the team and despite injuries they have kept on rolling. See how this works? Have a deep team that can over come injuries and suddenly your coaches look a hell of a lot smarter than when they don't have depth and injuries **** the whole thing up.
  11. except that OC and ex QB Scott Milanovich did that....
  12. after all this time... payback!

since we seem to still be going, I'll go back to the Messam train this week. I think that little of the argos right now
  14. but a lot of that was him knowing he was one slip up away from getting turfed. His veterans were his life preserver and he clutched onto them. Let's not try and kid ourselves here, Dave Ritchie would not have allowed the team to struggle like it did under Daley
  15. Lyle Bauer didn't hire him and Lyle Bauer didn't like him because they were both trying to be the boss. First excuse he got Bauer turfed Ritchie and the rest is history.

so what was the deal with last week? No one got a correct pick so we all go again?
  17. One might start looking at the D corps. With no Trouba the talent falls off pretty hard and fast after the top 3.

Well to be fair they've been mentioning that book since like episode 2 of the season.
  19. if he had a small contract they probably would have just kept him as a backup, but because of the bog contract they wanted to move him and look at that return it netted them. Walters played that one about as well as he could.
  20. well they did get a pretty good haul when trading willy....
  21. maybe CFL players just like to party?
  22. Oh man do we dare to dream about having the same guy running the team for nearly a decade? When was the last time that happened? I am less sold on Walters than some but the guy stepped up this season compared to last, let's see how it continues to progress because we've gone through the learning curve with these guys, let's keep them when they're poised to be good quality people.
  23. but what about Chungh? Surely the team has said something about him, anyone hear anything?
  24. Just goes to show how much easier it is to be a Gm when you have a qb like Calvillo
