Yeah except the rules actually read that you are limiting the number of americans not having a minimum required Canadians. That's where the designated import comes in, the numbers work out such that you only have enough Americans on your roster who aren't designated imports to leave 7 Canadian starting positions. You start more Canadians you have american backups who aren't designated imports and they can come in when ever and where ever you want them to. It's the guys with a DI tag that need to replace another american on the field.

I'd take a linbebacker upgrade in a heart beat, I think once everyone is healthy the secondary has less issues. I think the young guys Walker and Alexander have shown enough to give them more time, just need everyone healthy. Linebackers though need help. Knox is no Ian Wild and that position needs more production out of it. Just don't have the consistency there. I can't see the Bombers spending a pile on receivers at the moment. I just don't see them being willing to drop anyone now and giving another big ticket to a receiver. That money could be better spent somewhere else if you ask me.

yeah I can't figure out why people are harping on the defense so much when to my eye they adjusted well but the offense remained stuck in neutral for most of the game.

Here is what it really comes down to, it might be something that has existed for a while and had a blind eye turned to it, like stashing a couple extra players around town, but Jones takes that and makes such a spectacle and mockery of it by going to extreme levels with it that is forces the league to crack down on it. You do it just a little bit no one bats an eye, you make it a sideshow, as Jones does with most things, and then you are forcing the league to address it.

to be fair though that's every D in the league. You don't get after the qb there's too much room on a CFL field for the back end to cover everyone all the time.

It is frustrating to watch because it gives up yards and drives, but that's what it is and it's not changing as long as he is here, might as well stop wishing we had at their peak swaggerville and and get used to what we do have. A D that gives us all heart attacks but is capable of making adjustments and coming through when they are needed. They do need support from the offense though. If the O goes 2 and out a bunch or turns the ball over things will get out of hand, but that will happen with any defence. It just looks worse with what the bombers are running.

This is just not true. If you are in a shoot out and need a stop and the D gives it to you it's still a key stop even if the entire game wasn't a master piece. There are lots of shades of grey in football. It's not all good or all bad, it can be good and bad mixed together. Like most sports it's less important the total numbers but more important when you make the plays.

GIven the sheer number of movies he's in and the fact that he keeps getting cast in damned near everything yeah i would say The Rock is viewed as a proven draw. He is certainly a much more known commodity than Cena. Quite frankly I always found Cena boring as all hell but The Rock is THE most electrifying man in all sports entertainment!
