The game plan was basically Harris vs. Singleton and Singleton won the matchup on the day. Lapo needed to recognize that the run heavy, short passing to Harris game wasn't working and changed it up, but he didn't and the offense failed as a result.

No, I said Reilly was maybe the best qb in the league, and a guy that has been very capable of putting a team on his back and dragging them to wins throughout his career... and yet here he is on a team that sucks not doing jack ****. So don't go on about needing a qb to drag a team to wins, it doesn't work like that. Good teams win. Good TEAMS. A QB is only one part of it, and clearly what Nichols is doing works pretty well considering how often the Bombers win with him.

No you are wrong. There are very few people that pump Nichols up as being one of the elite qbs in the game. The arguments come from people like you falsely arguing that Nichols didn't play well based on whatever subjective statistics you come up with and praise other quarterbacks because of whatever statistics you come up with when they didn't play that well either. See the problem for people like you, is that you have no consistency. You view the Bombers with a hyper critical eye which you don't turn on other teams as well. You are much more lax in your judgement of other teams than the Bombers. Which is why you always find yourself in these arguments.

That's just it, we're having the best start to a season in ages and people are bitching more than ever.

The way he's played his whole time here should give us confidence that he can come from behind to win. His first 2 playoffs here plain and simple the defense couldn't stop jack **** and we lost because of that. Last year Lapo handcuffed the offense in the west final and expected the D to win the game. Bottom line.

I don't think it's a case of "I Love Nichols" fans... It's a case of not letting people **** on him for unreasonable things. Honestly I think given time Streveler has higher potential than Nichols, but some people bag on Nichols for ridiculous reasons and need to be corrected about it.

I wouldn't put that as a plus in the Argos favour. They were so disinterested and unprepared to play that the score was 31-0 before they even showed up. Bombers took the foot off the gas massively and Toronto scored some points in garbage time (which lasted longer than non garbage time) that doesn't mean Toronto wasn't still an embarrassment.

This is a good point, our special teams are killing it this season.

I think last night was the first time they kicked a field goal from the red zone. This team is damned efficient on offense at the moment.

The only concern about this game was the injuries, otherwise they did even to beat the argos in 1 quarter.

Streveler has more personal need to impress and takes more risks. This is the same lapo as we have seen for 15+ years. Remember 2002? Bombs to stegall and Bruce or drop it off short to Robert's and Sellers. Stoddard was under used on the mid range stuff. Nichols is good at throwing those mid range passes but this team doesn't prioritize them, especially when up by 30 points.

If the bombers fall behind you will see Nichols have some huge stats , but as it is the bombers haven't been in a situation yet this season where they need to do anything other than manage the game by not turning the ball over. Nichols was damned good tonight but the argos are so lol bad the game was over before fans could finish their first beer.
