2024/2025 CFL (non-Bomber) Off-Season Thread
Well if Tim Burke had got the team to 5 straight Grey Cups that would be a great comparison.... Burke though is a better reason to be cautious on just firing someone because you want change after a slight step back. Same as firing Dave Ritchie and going to Jim Daley. Or Doug Berry to Mike Kelly. Team has had a **** ton of success lately. You don't start making whole sale changes just because they came up short in the big game. It starts with some fresh blood on the roster, maybe some smaller changes in the coaching staff, some fresh ideas. Kyle walters has earned a heck of a lot of trust at this point.

You're really entitled as a fan eh? We get it, you want a nice public flogging of the guy but that's not going to happen. We just gotta trust that the gm of the team knows what he is doing, and considering we have played in 5 straight Grey cups I am inclined to believe he does.

Yeah we all know what you think. When oshea says look at the tape that he is really saying is "I'm not answering that question" Yeah we all know what you think. When oshea says look at the tape that he is really saying is "I'm not answering that question"

Go back and look at the tape is basically a "handled internally" response.

3 turds plus crappy honker. Long winter edition.
Argos had one chance of pulling off a win in 2022 with their backup qb after the starter hurt his hand.... Bottom line collaros with a numb index finger and a glove wasn't going to win.

Jesus christ, 5 stitches to a finger and he played... never should have been allowed to go back in. Might not have mattered in the end but no way you can expect him to throw in that condition

What a dynasty means to me
And the time to move on was last offseason when we could have kept Dru Brown. Collaros too over paid, too inconsistent and too poor in Grey cups.... that won't get solved by sliding in an overpaid, inconsistent, poor playoff VAJ.

All things considered...
Yeah i don't get it as whiny from Brady. Guy was asked why he didn't see the ball more he doesn't know. It's fair for players and coaches to dissect what happened and run through the what ifs.

Most irksome moment of GC 2024- Why did they Stray from Brady?
They're just cranky because they don't have their favourite sippy cup.

Knowing him probably something self important.

On the flip side, a team that has been in 5 straight Grey cups obviously something is working well. Some of y'all are way too worked up. So.e changes need to happen but it's not as bad as all that.

Lapo needs a handler to make sure he doesn't just play to not lose or I'm not interested. Also if you're bringing lapo in you can't go with collaros at all. Worth noting we made 1 grey cup with lapo as the OC and 4 straight with Pierce. I'll listen to arguments that Pierce has maybe gone stale and we need a change.... but we've been there done that with Lapo so many times I'm not interested in seeing that again.

111th Grey Cup- Argos vs Bombers GDT
The coaches not sitting Zach down is on them, the rest is on the players for poor execution

3 turds plus crappy honker. Long winter edition.
Our offense didn't generate anything and the team gave up 27 points off turnovers! Defense can't win the game on their own.

Bottom line is you gotta make plays. Not every play is picture perfect, but when you have opportunities to make a play you have to seize it. There is entirely too much money being spent on the offense for the up and down season they've had.

What was it 27 points off turnovers? There's the game right there.

111th Grey Cup- Argos vs Bombers GDT
Lawler schoen Wilson and the Canadian contingent is a damned good receiving corps imo.

111th Grey Cup- Argos vs Bombers GDT
Demski gassed a couple, Lawler had the out of bounds catch... right there you're up to 9 of 16 which is better, and I am a big believer in momentum. Was the same thing in 2022. They missed some opportunities to move the ball early.and the offense never got going.

There were periods that I'm not sure it was... see 2nd regular season game vs. Toronto as an example... This OL is still living off 2021 reputation, but the interior was Hella weak mostnofnthe season

111th Grey Cup- Argos vs Bombers GDT
It wasn't working because the receivers weren't making catches...

You want the run more involved stop going 2 and out.

Honestly I don't care which of Wilson or dolegala they had pegged as #2, they should have been playing after zachs injury. We don't know which was the right choice, neither got the chance.

Just looking for context... cause honestly I didn't feel collaros was the problem prior to his finger injury.

Bunch of people here complaining about the playcalling last night and I for one am disgusted by the effort our receivers put in... so we think vaj would have done more? He got smoked by a riders defense that collaros made look stupid.

The positivity thread (don’t look back in anger)
They tried to go to Ford, it didn't do much for them. He's a long way out from being a starting qb.
