The Elks president sounds like an absolute fool. Basically called Arbuckle terrible on TSN. Some people aren't equipped to be on live tv.

I think we need to start looking at kickers and running backs. Maybe figure out a way to get McCrae on the roster as a DI. Thinking we can pretty easily drop one of the American backup LB's or DE's with Hansen back. Eventually this spot might go to a placekicker but maybe next week it can be McCrae. Shocked kicker hasn't been more of a priority back to the off-season. Fine with Liegghio's punting but we need a reliable place kicker. Mourtada isn't a professional football player.

Pretty much everything they did in the redzone was Lapo-ey. Reminded me of our Nichols years where the D and special teams were constantly flipping the field and we kicked a bunch of 30-50 yard field goals because the offense was so bogged down. Masoli is a better quarterback between the 20's than Nichols ever was, but Ottawa is not a team that will score TD's every game.

Just how laughable it was throwing blitzes at Collaros when Bombers in position to score, that both TD passes were just pitch and catch because of horrible D scheme/play call.

Masoli and Lapo is a QB/playcaller match made in hell. With Masoli's completion % and yardage you'd expect his QBR to be 10-15 points higher, he's literally an all-time completion percentage guy and it's not like he's only throwing screen passes, he goes downfield. But he turns the ball over like crazy and is awful in the redzone. Lapo is one of the least efficient OC's ever in the redzone.

Don't see any parallel's between the Manning Cast and bringing on someone that one fanbase would know and most casual fans would barely recall to interrupt broadcasting of gameplay. I think if the CFL did version without PBP maybe more of just a panel over the game broadcast it could be popular with the right people. The problem with the TSN production is that it does everything it can to draw away from the actual game, the actual sport but doesn't even do that with anything or anyone remotely interesting that might actually draw in some more casual fans/fans who aren't following the two teams playing that night. The CFL should be pissed at how the games are produced but their own marketing has the same problem. The formula is pretty simple, the NFL and NBA have mastered it. The CFL and TSN continue to try to chart their own course and continue to fail.

Our new Global was impactful on teams last night. Maruo playing a regular role on D and teams too. Our next OL up is also a Global. Are we limited to only dress 2?

I see all 4 of those teams being between 7 and 9 wins.

Dunigan really tore Benevides a new one last night.

It took awhile for the passing game to get going last season too. Our first and third games last year pretty closely mirror our offensive production these first couple games, with no downfield passing. Oliviera had one good game and one pretty bad one. Tonight he was better, just too much hesitation.

This has to be Lapo's last shot. He's got an unbelievably poor win percentage in what is basically a .500 league. The lack of discipline and his own decisions toward the end of games under 3 mins when the HC has to manage the clock are just awful.

Ottawa's back did it tonight. It's hard to do on 20 carries, 25-30 touches a game like Harris did. But any decent back in this league can get to the second level by making someone miss or getting through contact.

Harris has put up insane yards after contact year after year. It's not unusual with the lack of run formations now to get contact early. The good-great backs handle it and get to the second level. Our guys now can't. Could get Demski a lot more involved in run game. But not sure either back now same kind of threat as Harris to leak out in passing game to draw defensive attention to open up the wide gaps. Demski can run between tackles too though.

Kind of an all or nothing type. If he gets into second level dangerous, but mostly not getting through the line. Fine change of pace. Need someone more consistent and passing threat too. Think passing game needs to open up quite a bit. Can see when they run more downfield stuff how much better Collaros moves around and makes plays.

They both aren't good enough. Think we'll be flipping the ratio soon. Offensive gameplan way too conservative to allow this level of talent at RB to succeed. We're playcalling like 33 still in the backfield.

Need a back that's more decisive. Teams will stack box until we get one, just fill the gaps and wait him out.
