  1. BLM is looking like Matt Nichols circa 2021. I thought Biggie was a bit off last night. He got flat out beat a few times by Kadeem Carey et al.
  2. I don't believe that I've ever seen the words "thinking" and "Regina" in the same sentence. Machinery yes. Thinking no.
  3. LOL - I was actually offered tickets by a few people, but I was like - why would I fly to Winnipeg to watch a bunch of NFL bums play in an exhibition game when I can just pop over to Seattle and watch an actual game? And I'd rather go to Vancouver and watch a live CFL game any day over NFL anyway.
  4. that NFL exhibition game was one of the dumber ideas I've ever seen.
  5. That was one of two plays (other than the cross bar) that were make or break for us - the other one was the goal line stop by Hansen on Sask's running back.
  6. Yeah when Matty starts calling every player "son" you know he had a few pops at half time....
  7. Pretty sure one Milton Stegall also took some liberties with the offsides lol... Yeah, I had the same thought. We kind of lapsed into the Lapo playbook there. Plenty of time on the clock, go for the end zone on 2nd down and try to get the TD, rather than just go for the safe play to set up the FG. Playing it safe in the CFL usually is the wrong way to go. There was time even to just go for another first down on 2nd down, and then take a shot or two for the endzone before trotting out Leggs. Hindsight is always 20-20 of course.
  8. Ok fair enough. I thought they were trying for a point. That makes more sense.
  9. I looked it up. In the Banjo Bowl in 2012, in the game after the Labour Day 52-0 massacre in Regina, the Bombers were up 23-22 with 55 seconds left in the game. We were in FG range. Instead of sending out Palardy, Burke sends out Renaud to punt the ball through the end zone, making the score 24-22. Why?? What was the freaking point of that?? So Renaud kicks the ball through the end zone, and Drew Willy marches the Riders back up the field and with 4 seconds left Sandro Deangelis kicks the winning FG. Burke you bozo....just unbelievable. We had really nothing to lose if Palardy misses the FG, we were still up by one and Sask was in the same place down one point or two. It was so dumb.
  10. It's definitely been awhile. Almost too long. All of this pent up looniness had no outlet until now.
  11. yup the CFL definitely went out of their way to give other teams every advantage possible this year. Heal up hoggies, now we start the road to the cup. The perfect season garbage is over, let's focus on that third Grey Cup ring.
  12. I remember Tim Burke deciding to try for the single on a punt rather than try a field goal. Think it was 2012 or 2013. Failed spectacularly, like everything else Tim Burke did as HC.
  13. Don't change your underpants either. Really make it interesting.
  14. The gameplan should include having both Jefferson and Bighill play the entire second half in lazy boy recliners.
  15. And because of your loyalty he awards you one of his Tim Hortons' franchises...
  16. Wait for it though....two knee braces!! CoFaj will be unstoppable!!
  17. I'd buy 19 of them, if I was starting a hockey team.
  18. those jerseys are hideous
  19. we'll have more fans at one game then Toronto will get all season.
  20. Richie Hall is the Tom Brady of the CFL in terms of Grey Cup wins. He's going to run out of fingers for all of those rings lol...
  21. can't wait to get BA back at safety. Then there really won't be any holes.
  22. That would jive with what I have been told by my neighbour who was a kicker with the Argos when O'Shea was the Special Teams guy there. He just wants to coach young men and send them into battle to win. That's it. To put this in military terms, he wants to be with his boys in the trenches. He doesn't want to be 100 miles away deciding which boys get sent to their deaths while he gets to be far away from the action. O'Shea is a frontline guy, right in the heat of the action with his troops. That will never change. And that's why his boys love him.
  23. https://www.amazon.ca/Unbreauxken-Story-Delvin-Breaux/dp/057880879X He went to the NFL after playing in Hamilton and got totally screwed over by the New Orleans Saints. Good insight into what football players have to face in both leagues. I highly recommend this book.
  24. Yes of course. I am reading Delvin Breaux's autobiography and it's pretty eye opening in terms of how the CFL and NFL treat their players. The CFL seems to allow players to get healthy while the NFL just wants to send everyone out injured, to get even more injured, because it's basically just a meat grinder and they have hundreds of other guys waiting to step in. Interesting take and a good look on the CFL.
