Khari Jones enroute to Winnipeg according to Jim Toth
No it's true. He's just outside Moosomin right now.

Potential FAs list
Andy Mulamba. That is yet to be determined... as far as I can tell he is doing alright with the Pack, it will be telling since due to injury they have to start him. Has Bilukudi been playing for the Bengals? Anyone see how he has been doing if so?

Potential FAs list
Nobody? Other than Pasztor's agent and Pencer's tattoo artist. Why is Pencer's tatoo artist laughing? He was watching Modern Family while talking to JBR? I am assuming this was a comment about how Pencer is worthless so the pick for him over Pasztor, who probably will never come to the CFL, is a wash. We'll see.

I sometimes wonder if he and Friesen were twins separated at birth.

Redblacks to name Rick Campbell head coach
My all-time favorite team name is still the Macon Whoopee.

Potential FAs list
Slightly off topic but I'm watching the Jags-Texans game (as the Jets were playing like poop tonight) and I saw them iso on Austin Pasztor at guard for the Jags and talk about how he's got a long career ahead of him on the O-line there. That made me smile as I still remember that jerk Tillman high-fiving everyone when Edmonton got to draft him after Mack took Pencer instead. Who's laughing now Eric??

Redblacks to name Rick Campbell head coach
Yup I agree. Good to get some new blood into the CFL in the coaching ranks, and in the QB ranks. We are seeing that happening finally.

maybe he's filming Season 2 of the Amazing Race Canada. He was pretty good in Season one.

Bluto must be conflicted ...
you are still holding a grudge from the 1991 Grey Cup? Most of the guys posting here were still swimming in daddy's fun bag at that time. I guess this just hit me mostly because it reminded me of how old you and I both are now Bluto! I still remember that beer can sailing out of the crowd and almost nailing Ismail as he ran by for his punt return touchdown. Classy!!

Coordinator Candidates?
I got the impression during the practice I watched that there was no particular love between Glenn and Berry. Berry just buzzed around in a golf cart while Kit Cartwright yelled at the QB's and Brian Randle kept throwing balls 20 yards off target. Man that guy was terrible.

he can retain his TSN gig actually. Yeah of course but that was just a supplement to his BB salary he was still collecting. Not sure you can live off of a 2 minute segment 4 times a weekend, especially on a Canadian sports network, and with three hungry children to feed now.

The 5 days of Christmas
irregardless, this thread rocks!

So what does Lapo do now? Take an OC gig? His Bomber gravy train is finally over so he has to get a real job somewhere.

Reactions around the CFL re: O'Shea hire
O'Shea first thought: "What the hell - there's more than one media guy here at a CFL press conference. So unlike Toronto." Second thought: "Who is this ginger-haired idiot?" Get used to thinking that Mike.

Major Football Ops Announcement @ 12:30 Today: Mike O'Shea New Bombers HC
Yeah I don't expect O'Shea to be doing much of this all next year, like we had to experience all this year....

Missed the whole damn thing. Just going on 1290 now to hear the aftermath...

And it's also a lot more than drawing plays on a whiteboard and barking formations into a headset, which is apparently the only things guys like Cortez and Burke are good at. Or just yelling at the refs and giving your inconsistent QB withering looks as he throws an INT in the last two minutes and loses the game, like Austin.

I don't really think you know what a head coach does. Neither did Tim Burke....

Congrats. Finally, a leader for a head coach again. It's been a long time.

Major Football Ops Announcement @ 12:30 Today: Mike O'Shea New Bombers HC
Yes you really get the impression that Miller and Walters sat down together and made a list of all of the things Mack did and how he did them, then underneath wrote in big bold letters "DO THE OPPOSITE OF THE ABOVE".

Wait, that's our Mike that asked that? ....I feel so....let down. Which one are you, the one with the backwards cap or the stupid glasses? stupid glasses. Sigh...I feel sad now. there I changed it. I look slightly (SLIGHTLY) less douchebaggy now. I dunno...what has been seen cannot be unseen... This will take a while to get over... I always thought Mike was more a dead-ringer for Dancing Gabe. My bad.

O'Shea's cups don't count once we hire him. Friesen logic.

Milt going to Morris MB to help business owner
Way to go Milt!!! This is why we love you... STEGALL TO GO DEEP TO PROMOTE RACIAL TOLERANCE IN MANITOBA MORRIS, Man. - A well-known member of the Canadian Football League Hall of Fame will speak out against racism later this month in a southern Manitoba town that's trying to shed any image that it's racist. Milt Stegall, a former star wide receiver with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, will be outside a restaurant in Morris called Thea's Diner on Dec. 14 to deliver a message about tolerance. Thea Morris, the restaurant's Jamaican-born owner, recently said she's closing her business because of racist behaviour on the part of some people in community. The 53-year-old woman has said she's received an email referencing the Ku Klux Klan and has been told by one of her customers that people are avoiding her business because she is black. Ron D'Errico, president of Winnipeg's Impact Security Group, says he contacted the U.S.-born Stegall about what was happening in Morris and he was very upset. D'Errico says Stegall will talk about what racism does to a community and will strongly encourage Morris residents to work together. http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/story/?id=438081
