  1. I had ever heard of these until you mentioned them, I do chat with a Kiwi fairly regularly on another forum so I asked him. This is what he told me: Two camps. Hate em or Love em. I don't love em, but son and Mrs do. Have a tree at home, over produces. Passionfruit size. Cut in half and scoop out whitish pulp like a kiwifruit/chinese gooseberry. Taste sort of like guava?

I was worried last week or the week before that we would never see 80% first doses. We administered 3482 first doses yesterday and that is higher than it was when I looked last week or the week before. It seems like the incentive to get vaxxed is getting through and the hesitant ones are starting to get their shots. I am more hopeful now that we will hit the target than I have been in a long time.

Many of my family and friends have booked Moderna in a pharmacy and received shots yesterday and today without cancelling their appointment ahead of time. The Safeway/Sobeys booking site is super easy to use. https://www.pharmacyappointments.ca/

I am trying to understand vaccine hesitancy. If you are as concerned as you would appear to be why are you waiting a month for a scheduled vaccine appointment? Moderna shots are available as soon as today in many pharmacies around the city, why wait another month to visit a super site?
  5. I agree but the city could really aid in this by being consistent in design. Take the corner of Lagimodiere and Grassie. Westbound Grassie to Northbound Lag has a great yield/merge lane, likely 300M or so. Eastbound Grassie to Southbound Lag, direct spill in to 80km/hr traffic. Seriously WTF?!?!?

Testing numbers are way down too. I won’t believe it until Thursday which often seems to be the highest day of the week.

I’m not sure what I would do with a $100/month of weed but I am going to enter… I can’t remember who the user is but operate some food trailers and now a stand at Riding Mtn. Hopefully someone tags you or you have seen this. MB has re-opened the bridge grant program and is including seasonal businesses. Hopefully this gets you a little relief. https://news.gov.mb.ca/news/?archive=&item=51483

If anyone here is still searching or has family with far out appointments Safeway and Sobeys stores are booking appointments for Moderna this week. https://www.pharmacyappointments.ca/
  9. Yesterday was my 12th Father’s Day without my dad. As the years have gone by I have said less publicly and reduced the “Facebook Tributes”. This same words over and over again just can’t express how much I miss him and am sorry he never got to meet my youngest.

I actually found myself doing it today as I drove from a store on side of the street to the next one a few blocks over and across.

It has been said and many of the hospitalizations are first being diagnosed at hospital. Presenting as sick not as covid sick. Boundary Trails is experiencing denial from patients right up until ventilation or death that they don’t have covid, covid is fake.

We need something like 130000 additional first doses to be done. I’m not sure there are that many on the fence to be swayed to do the right thing. Some personal good news, I have a funky new QR code on my phone and after some allergy issues my wife has been cleared for her second dose.

I’m not sure we will ever hit the 80/75 target. Sad to think there are over 200 000 whackadoos that won’t get the shot but I am beginning to wonder… The good news is 4300 first dose appointments were made the day the Lotto Vax was announced.
  15. Let me start with, I have always voted PC, feel like an orphan of the political system. Please take this in the intent of truth not defending the Gov. It is BS that this uproar is happening now there was an RFP for this project and no one complained then. I have seen it reported that this winning party was the only respondent to the RFP he is local to the area and owns the local store. A search of political donation records show him to have contributed one time to the orange party and no one else This is not scoring one for a buddy, as evidence has shown over and over again that is a red party specialty. We just haven’t ever scene that in Manitoba well because…

You sound like one of my staff in BC, I told him that I was free to travel without self isolating and that I just needed to figure out BC's rules and if they will let me know. He said "No, you are not allowed in here..."

Those bring back memories. They were the only “candy bar” my dad ever ate. Any time any member of the family was across the border we would pick some up for him. Shortly after he passed away I started noticing them at places like Peavey Mart and Co-op. I attribute that to his doing from up there and have one on occasion in his honour.
  21. How does that go over with you wife? Some interesting reading this morning thank you @GCn20for sharing your stories and feelings. I believe to truly move forward we (all Canadians) need to hear more of this from people like yourself. Only when it become the primary story being told can change really happen. As long as there is any resistance to abolishing the IA from indigenous leaders the government will use that excuse to do nothing. They refuse to recognize that those voicing their resistance are the ones using it to profit off the oppression of their own people.
  22. Here is The Score’s report... Selective Reporting by The Score
  23. I mentioned this to my Habs fan friend and he was "What are you talking about, I just read two articles about his presser this morning. He didn't say anything about that." Sent him the NHL.com article and he was shocked at how different the articles written by Toronto based reporters were.
  24. Parros setting a new standard. Only Goons can be goonly. If an elite player makes a severe hit and injures someone they will be made example of. A great new precedent from the DoPS office.

Mine and his friends have started using Teams after school to visit and play Roblox on line together. It is sometimes painful to listen too but they are finding a way to socialize while distant. We think it is an excellent solution for 7 and 8 year olds that should not have online chat active on some of those games.
