NHL Playoffs 2014
OT tonight was some of the best hockey we're ever going to see. Speed, strength, and great goal tending.

Ontarians are bleeping idiots
are the most out of touch people on the planet. They really don't seem to know anything other than it's not fair that some people have more than they do so **** those people. "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other peoples money" Baroness Thatcher. Disagree. No one gets rich without other people working for them. Who's benefiting more: an employee at Microsoft or Bill Gates?

Ontarians are bleeping idiots
Pallister is also the wrong guy to win them votes in Winnipeg, where they need to win votes, but they don't have a lot of options. He may swing some of the rural ridings that are currently NDP (Interlake, Gimli, et. al.) but Winnipeg will stay about the same. More votes from rural folk in Tory strongholds will not get them anywhere.

The Restaurant thread
Consensus. Closely followed by Rae & Jerrys, Hys, 529 (if you like $55 steaks) Hermano's - I have had an amazing steak at Hermano's.

GDT: Argos @ Bombers
We gave up good value to get him. Hope he can live up to expectations. The Andre Durie we have is getting up there... so we needed a new one. IMO, Durie is the most underrated Canadian in the CFL.

Ice Cream. The best Ice Cream is the Shop that's part of the driving range on Plessis.

I do some work for the teachers' union. Homer's is what they order whenever we have a Saturday meeting. It's unbelievable, the exact same food every time.

Washington Redskins Urged to Change Team Name
Do you know what a jersey devil is? The only people who fight "real" jersey devils are Mulder and Scully on the X-Files. Do Catholic folks also object to tasmanian devils? Devil's food cakes? Dust devils? I died laughing. Thank you. The most catholic people I know have no issue with Halloween. If your catholic acquaintances do, it is not due to religion. Devilled eggs...could be the next evil fetish...who knows what lurks in the hearts of men...

It's religion , it's the Church / Priest saying this. Of course most people these days in North America are not religious , but the die hards and the ones overseas still have weird beliefs like this. Next Halloween and Christmas I'll post some scans from their bulletins which are quite comical and it'll be a good laugh. I wished I kept the stuff I was given during Marriage Classes which was super hilarious , I could of shared the knowledge of the rhythm method which is much more morally acceptable compared to those evil things known as condoms lol. Did they tell you when the fertile period is? I'll bet you'll sire the next pope...

CJOB's New Morning Radio Team
Chuck was doing some kind of segment on the morning show. Hal called him on something and pretty much exploded. Can't recall the topic...

Rookie Camp Day 2 (Reports and Discussion)
I made it over there yesterday - used up a personal leave day at that. O'Shea was working them hard, but it was all pretty basic stuff. Yep, the DL looked good during running drills, they were really stuffing it, but also got fooled on a few misdirection plays. Receivers and DB's were interesting. A few tall receivers with good hands (names escape me). Some nice one on one coverage skills among the DB's (granted the receivers were mostly rookies) Agree with what O'Shea said re: QBs and RBs. Some crisps throws and good reads from the QBs during drills.

Donald Sterling....And Mark Cuban
How exactly do you teach a multi-billionaire a lesson? I dare say they just want to get rid of him.

Donald Sterling....And Mark Cuban
He's a moron but he's also a product of his generation. Not that that in any way condones what he said.

Donald Sterling....And Mark Cuban
The perception that gays do those kinds of things is part of what creates homophobia. Take Canadian Blood Services policies as another example. To someone who is not educated, the questions that CBS asks about homosexuality make it appear that most homosexuals live a high-risk lifestyle. If that is not the intent, then why are there specific questions about them? Why not just general questions about high-risk sexual activity? There are many other examples in society - you can't completely blame individuals for being uncomfortable with homosexuality. Oh for sure. I agree. The blood thing is interesting. My buddy was called all the time to go donate. When he came out, he told them "Im gay" and they never called again. Unfortunately, there is a predominant segment of the gay community that is anywhere from somewhat to wildly permiscuous, in an extremely disgusting way actually. Sadly the prevailing opinion that gays engage in permiscuous sex is not unfounded. And I say that as someone that has made it clear what I think about homophobia. That is indeed unfortunate - not to mention unsafe for them.

Grocers and the Organic 'Revolution'
100% correct - supply management is on the way out. The only downside is for people who actually invested money to get into this system. Some just inherited whatever quota they have, but there are farmers who have invested millions to get into the supply managed system. They will take a hit - but this ancient system needs to go. Hopefully they pay off at least those who actually invested $$

Important notice regarding the future of MBB.com
That's actually an interesting idea. Personally I don't pay attention to email but some may definitely find value in that. Anyone else? Too many e-mails already...

The WINE thread
I like experimenting with cheap wine. Who can recommend some good but reasonably priced wine? I like Beringer Cabernet - it's an American wine that sells for 9.99. Good stuff for that price.
