The Environment Thread
Now - why wouldn’t they quote job numbers from the oil and gas industry? Coal has been declining for a long time.

I know we probably don't have the depth, but here's some pie in the sky thinking on how we could get an all American D, with 7 Canadians on O: 3 OL Harris Demski, Wolitarski Augustine and Petermann rotating for the 7th spot

That seems to be what we're stuck with, yes.

So who gets the home playoff games? Predictions?
Closing this and starting another playoff prediction thread. One WITHOUT vitriol towards another fan base - and vice versa. It is unnecessary and tiresome. Those who continue trolling for it will be suspended.

The QBs not having time is not on the OL. On Friday, they showed what they can do with an effective pocket passer. Back in day, there were games where Nichols was the untouched. As for the DL, that is due to the change at safety, resulting in Richardson and Nevis not being on the field together.

The entire country contributes to equalization - it comes from TAX REVENUE. Alberta contributes about 17% to the overall Canadian economy.

Exactly what I was thinking - who was Prime Minister the last time equalization was reviewed?

Doug Brown said "that was a lot of effort for two points." Those two points are looking really good right now. Yeah, the Stamps get away with being AAF, because most of the time no one makes them pay. It just needs to happen more often. We are 2 - 1 against Calgary, with the one loss only by 4 points. I am going to bet that is one prediction none of us made.

Collaros- looked good with not too much film / play book time yet OL - solid pass pro against a good front, they were very good in the 4th Q when it really counted. Rushing attack was average without the dual threat, but we’ll take the W D - made that last stop when it counted. I was questioning the call but they sure proved me wrong HH Medlock - chip shot FG for the win. But more important, some nice punts that pinned the Stamps deep. On a side note, the Stamps’ kicking game probably cost them a win. Missed FG, missed convert, costly decision / terrible punt out of their own end zone

And BLM also threw some that should have been picked. I thought a key point in the game was making the Stamps pay for punting out of their own end zone.

Equalization payments explained: The feeling of Western alienation may be understandable, but complaining about equalization payments is backing the wrong horse. Economist Trevor Tombe explains how it works: “First, and most importantly, none of the equalization dollars are paid by Alberta—it’s a federal program. The federal government pays equalization out of general revenue... “Albertans contribute [only] 17 per cent of federal revenue for the simple reason that Alberta’s economy is 17 per cent of Canada’s. Two-thirds of federal revenue is from taxes on income, plus another one-quarter from taxes on consumption through sales taxes, excise taxes and import tariffs. Overall, 90 per cent of federal revenue comes from taxes...”

Hey - do we get to keep the 1.8 billion in equalization payments? In all seriousness, Pallister likes to pretend he's pissed at Trudeau, but JT has been very good to Manitoba

Canadian Politics
There is one issue on which Alberta definitely has a point. They have a population of over 4 million and have 34 seats in Parliament Look at Manitoba with 14 seats and population of over 1 million Looking at it apples to apples - Alberta should have over 50 seats, maybe even 60

Bench Streveler Again
All the QB injuries this year have more to do with the rule changes than anything else. DBs are not pretty much not allowed to cover (by the rules) so the best pass D is the pass rush.

GDT: Bombers at Stamps
Streveler in that situation - no comment.

A good team that is curiously inexplicable at times.
