That 10 years should be somewhat sarcastic. I would think if the right moves are made in the right areas, then I could easily see Walters as the GM in 5 years from now when our new not yet known GM is fired.

As much as I like Tate's ability when he is healthy, it's looking a lot like he is just a younger version of Buck. If we are to 'salvage the season' as you say, it wouldn't be with Tate. And of he were here and healthy for next season we likely would be in the same boat with him as we were with Pierce in 2010 and 2012 and spinning our wheels once again. Also, no way Calgary would want Jovon or Buck.

If 2009 is vintage then I have a whole house full of vintage stuff to sell.

Confirmed torn ACL and LCL. If its a bad enough LCL tear he may even be out until after the start of next season.

How many of these people you know have bought football teams? It's definitely not the same thing and the people part of the franchise are way more specialized than your average business where you could have several qualified people for any given position.

This is it for Burke. His uncertainty leads me to believe his is deep in the hole right now and has thrown his grapple hook out hoping it will catch something.

That's probably exactly what Burke is thinking.

No surprise to anyone but when you watch the video of Burke addressing the media today you see him scratch the back of his head. Body language translation of that is a demeanour of uncertainty and doubt. I am not really sure of the conviction that Burke gave with that speech today. He doesn't seem all that confident of his decision.

Never saw him as too intimidating at all.

Last time Popp was head coach was in 2007 when Calvillo was out for a majority of the season and had Marcus Brady as his QB. I think there is less to worry about for him to worry about this time around.

This will be an adjustment for Goltz. Pierce often had the issue of not allowing the play to develop, and he has missed receivers that were/would have been open because of it. Goltz will no doubt be a little anxious, but if he can stay patient, and trust his o-line, and his instinct, he can make good things happen down field.
