interesting that Hammonds showed up on the suspended list considering we signed him so early before camp. Would assume it's more of a passport issue thing and less of a "I got cold feet thirty seconds later" type thing but I guess we'll see. I'd think somebody like Greg Battle or Joe Poplawski goes in next, probably Cal Murphy too. Current Bombers that go in once they're no longer here: Mike O'Shea is at the top of that list without a doubt. Might actually be the only Bomber I'd currently put in there too. Bryant would be the other name I'd consider - Willie/Bighill/Collaros haven't been around long enough YET.

Don't see this as a big deal whatsoever. They volunteered to come get a start on the playbook but are giving the live reps to the young guys. If we had a new HC/OC, I'd be hoping Collaros would do the same.

I remember telling my dad on the way to that game, for absolutely no reason at all, that Greg Carr was the next great Bomber receiver. Then he had like 2 catches for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns at half before his leg exploded and he missed the rest of the game and I thought I was a genius. I think 21 year old me just kept hoping we were going to find the next Milt Stegall, I even had a Jeffers-Harris jersey. 😆

Willie easily fits in the NFL but when you’re buddies with Josh Gordon and you don’t have the undisputed, undeniable talent that JG has, the NFL looks to the guys with as much talent who aren’t going to give you behavioural issues. I think Willie had the talent to make it as a tight end in the NFL but his college attitude problems were just too much to ignore at the time.

Legit the only thing that suggested we would take one is history. There’s not a real need and there’s not a deep class whatsoever. I can’t say I know this to be true but apparently next year’s class is a lot deeper with OL.

Federico seems like a real Bombers type pick if he’s there but I truly have no idea what we’ll do since we don’t have another pick until 38 History has to assume we go OL, but maybe they view Dobson as our OL add this year potentially

Toronto doesn’t march to the beat of everyone else’s drum when it comes to OL and they’ve done fairly well over the last couple years. Not surprised SSK didn’t go OL - they’ve always undervalued that need with this regime and they weren’t about to change that up in a weaker OL class

I don’t mind this at all, obviously value wise they graded this out as a better option and we needed to find a new Jake eventually so I’m happy with the move.
