I don’t think anyone is arguing that point. I think what we’re saying is that fans trot it out like they know what it means and they don’t. Obviously the room culture is great, you don’t have to be in there to know that or to know MOS has done a great job of that. Just listen to the guys speak and it’s obvious. But we don’t know the inner workings of it.

I mean we criticize other players on other teams for similar slip ups, so I’m not going to pretend our players don’t have slip ups as well. It is what is.

It’s a hot turd. What does FIFO even mean? Willie Jefferson is one of the biggest trash talkers in the world. Kenny Lawler loves to celebrate 3 yard catches and drink behind the steering wheel. Are they also not allowed in this club? Is Myron Mitchell not allowed because of the colour of his shoes? What if the reason he gives is because he’s financially responsible and didn’t want to buy blue shoes until he made the team? Does that allow him back in the club?

I mean … I genuinely don’t really know what people are upset about. We got what we all asked for, didn’t we? Bridges, Bonds, Ayers, Adams, Woods, Wilson and Mitchell. 7 new guys on the roster, we didn’t keep McGhee, we found a new linebacker, the roster seems set up to have a strong rotation on the DL. Ayers over Gemmel or Moses doesn’t wow me, but it’s not enough to get me upset either. I liked Ayers, I like that we get younger there and that we kept Gemmel on the PR too. Bridges and Bonds are two names I’m super happy to see kept in the secondary. We spent all camp talking about how nobody seems to have a clear idea of who should win the WR5 spot and now we’re mad about who won it? In fairness to both Pokey and Mitchell, they had to work with mostly chicken **** in the preseason so how fair is it to judge? We all wanted Adams kept and they didn’t mess that up at all. Overall, I’m happy with how this ended up.

There are quite possibly extenuating circumstances behind his Hamilton release. He took less money to stay in Hamilton because he wanted an opportunity to start, but he still got paid “starter” calibre money. Not Lawson dollars, but close to it. With that kind of price tag and a whole mess of Canadian defensive linemen, it looks like they decided to cut bait on the price tag just as much as anything.

No but maybe he’ll just leave that stink town Without question. They haven’t announced it yet but he’s cooked.

Are you a wizard? I liked Woods when we signed him, thought he kind of sucked in the first preseason game but I’m sure I missed some stuff. Bridges and Bonds were two of my favourites from the camp roster of defensive backs. I’m assuming Bonds gets the start.
