Grey Cup Week Festivities
If you're actually making the road trip and not flying (which I thought you were), you should do a beer swap with Ray & I. We'll put you together a package of some of Winnipeg's finest craft and you bring us some of Alberta's.

What he said was one blog suggested that. Not even close to "hearing the Isles asked"

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
They traded his rights b/c they knew they'd be outbid once he hit FA, so it kind of is b/c he's awesome. I'll have to pay better attention. You really should. Randle is one of the best defensive players in the entire league.

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
How can you say that given that he's never played more than a handful of snaps at HB?

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
Truthfully, I don't think Harris will be that expensive. Running backs, Canadian or American, don't command the *big* money. I'd be surprised if he got 150k+

Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
Rarely will you see a situation like what you're describing occur. Not good for business.

Chris Matthews waived
Sorry, this is wrong. Matthews was cut by Seattle in September last year in what wasn't just a roster shuffle. They let him go and he was on the outs in the NFL, he tried out for Washington and a few other teams. Ottawa (and Winnipeg) threw tempting money at him to get him to choose the CFL over an NFL PR deal, then injuries took him back to Seattle and the rest is history. EDIT: I see you read my post on TEP lol

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
Lucky them, they shouldn't want half that garbage anyways

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
Probably enough about gbill, he made a decision to no longer be a member here so let's let him be. If anyone wants to know more, you sure all seem to know where you can find him and ask.

Bellefeuille OUT.....
I'd consider throwing an associate head coach tag at Jason Maas.

The BEER thread
I've gotten into some stouts, but I just can't enjoy them most of the time. That Phillips sampler has good variety, but I keep just falling back to the IPAs anyways. I'm biased. Dave will try and sway you toward the ESBs....I'm a big fan of Red's. There's a new one from Village Brewery called "The Huntsman" that I really enjoy. Earthy....ton of flavour. I'm a fan.... I've had a few ESBs and I liked them. I even enjoyed one so much (the Super Cooper 14 Year Special that Phillips did) that I bought another one. Some good reds out there too. Just not a lot of options at my local LC, they're big on the IPA train right now. We'll be getting in late next Weds night for GC Week, and one thing I'm really stoked for is wandering the LC to see what kinda options they have while we're home. Curious how the selection compares to some of the "private" stores we have here, in terms of craft beer... What part of town are you staying in? There are a few specific LCs I would recommend. At a buddy's place right smack dab between the Stadium and Barley Bros, on Pembina......but we'll be all over attending events. Spending time in T-Cones, as well, to visit the family..... Hit up the Plessis LC when you're in Transcona and the Grant Park LC if you get a chance. Close to you and two of the best in the city. Either one on Henderson is good too.

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
This is sadly becoming my favorite time of year as a Bomber fan. The only time I have hope.

Dug into the Phillips Snowcase this weekend ... Tried the Apteryx IPA, the Elsinore Lager, the Wit Beer, the Anxiety Ale, the Black Jackal Imperial Coffee Stout, the Slipstream Ale, the Anxiety Ale, the One & Only Saison and the Twisted Oak Scotch Ale. Really liked the Apteryx ... the Elsinore is a good take on a regular old beer and other than that ... meh. Not thrilled with the selection in the snowcase thus far. Also got my hands on a Sriracha Stout from Rogue. Awful.

Bombers Pending Free-Agents List?
Wouldn't really care to see Laing here. From what I see though, that's one long list of key free agents.

Kyle Walters End-Of-Year Presser
Well spoken. But a lot of issues reek of the issues he was discussing two years ago and they're still not fixed. I can't believe his defense of Brohm though. I hope it's just lip service, that guy is atrocious. Says every spot was tough except for one, yet also says the one spot that he had the right opportunity, he pissed it away. Come on. I'll keep watching though.

Let the firings begin
To me, Brady is the choice. What's not to like about him as a candidate? - He's a former CFL QB - He's familiar with Mike O'Shea - He's probably one of the only coaches in the CFL with his level of experience who has yet to be fired - He's got a track record as a successful coordinator and he runs exactly the type of offense we're all hoping to see. All aboard the Brady bandwagon.

Do you guys ever find yourself going back for the same craft over and over? Ever since I started buying the individuals, I can't bring myself to buy the same one twice no matter how much I enjoy it. I just love trying different stuff, every time out. Although that Fracture Imperial IPA ... If they had that here, my fridge would be full of it.
