  1. You could always walk to the Balmoral bus stop and just bus directly. Here is the link to the transit page: http://winnipegtransit.com/en/special/bomberfanfare This is the downtown bus route to the stadium (link is from that page): http://winnipegtransit.com/assets/961/160_Pembina.pdf Here is a google map to show you how close you are to that bus stop https://www.google.com/maps/dir/49.8916293,-97.1526392/Holiday+Inn+%26+Suites+Winnipeg+Downtown,+360+Colony+St,+Winnipeg,+MB+R3B+2P3,+Canada/@49.890806,-97.1539655,17z/data=!4m9!4m8!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x52ea73e32e95bd35:0x9da1b43d7634b190!2m2!1d-97.15148!2d49.891171!3e2 EDIT: Just to add, That google map points to point A on the transit map
  2. Marve may be kept around. It is pretty common for teams to keep 4 QBs now. It really depends if there is a different QB they want to bring in for a look. Marve hasn't been great on 3rd and short, and while he rushed for a TD against Hamilton, he kind of tripped going into the goal line. Wonder if Portis can do the sneaks better.
  3. Have to believe Ford will have the extra motivation for being cut.

Does the West continue its dominance over the East, or can Ottawa win their 2nd home game?
  5. Wasn't meant as a comparison as the Crosby deal was signed 6 years ago, and his salary was huge back then when he signed. It was a commentary on the inflation and escalation of salaries over time.
  6. It is crazy how salaries keep escalating, this is just going to set the bar for future signings. Crosby signed to an AAV of 8.7M until 2024/25 will seem like a steal in a couple of years.
  7. Financial details not yet released, but rumoured to be in the 9M per year range. Is he worth it? If they wanted to keep him, they didn't really have a choice. I think he was likely to get 7 - 8 in arbitration for 1 year .... then what?
  8. Huge fumble
  9. Wow, good for Glenn. I was expecting the patented last minute pick. Would be nice to see BC win this game so we can stay in 1st place.
  10. Wow ... would be passed out by half time.
  11. There are a few teams, like Chicago, who will have to trade something due to them being over the cap. Now, unless it is a huge block buster, can't see it being for one of the Jets higher salary guys (Kane or Buff) Off topic, but anyone think the Jets have a chance at signing Kevin Hayes? Former 1st round pick of the Blackhawks, if they don't sign him by August 15th, he will be a free agent.
  12. Miller and Dunnigan! Game is already looking better.
  13. Put this game out of its misery and hope for something more entertaining with the Lions and Stampeders
  14. Or a pick six
  15. If offered a HC job, which if one of these East teams like Montreal and Ottawa never get out of the hole, he probably will. Somehow, I don't know that he'd settle for an OC job with Higgins. Don't know what their history is together, but guessing he would want all the marbles as a HC. Don't think they've ever worked together. It really depends how badly he wants to get into coaching again. Chances are if he wants to get back to a head coach again he will have to go back to being a coordinator first. His stint in Winnipeg, regardless of the situation he was put in, was too much of a mixed bag. Also, I'm not sure Montreal is the right situation to "show" what he can do, especially if it is an interim mid season type of deal.
  16. I wonder if Lapo would go back to coaching. Has a pretty sweet gig with TSN, especially with a younger family. Wonder what the money is like.
  17. They should have hired a real OC when Worman was fired. Just delaying the inevitable and paying the price for waiting.
  18. "Sticky .... gotta make that stick" Classic Rod Black
  19. Brink back in... How is this helping?
  20. Boring half of football
  21. Brink in to the game.
  22. They have to quit panning to Don Mathews. He looks totally spaced out and disinterested sitting there, staring into space.
  23. Tells you how much I care about the Flames & I live in Calgary. Apparently he was in and out of the lineup. Played 62 games and was a healthy scratch for a bunch.
  24. Yes, last year

All that really matters is that they executed and made the play. How many "high percentage" plays did we not make last year? This team is believing in itself and making things happen. Yeah they had a let down in the 2nd half, but came back when it mattered. Would the same people bitching about the play call be happy and singing the praises if they had called a "high percentage" play and missed on it? Willy put that ball exactly where he had to. Give him props for doing it and Grigsby catching it. They made the play what it mattered most.
