Did anyone have on their bingo cards that Million Dollar Lawler would have the third most receiving yards from former Bombers on the Ti-Cats after 2 games?

These guys have been tackling all their lives but it's probably doesn't help that the Bombers have had a total of 4 practices, barely played their starters in preseason and now are going on a bye.

Kind of felt like a weird game all around. Collaros played really well but they couldn't get Brady going at all on the ground. Leaving 11 points in the red zone was effectively the difference in the game. Those two long pauses in the first half (Peters going down, who sounds like he is doing alright, and the Incomplete, Challenge, Challenge sequence) seemed to suck the energy out of the offense. On defense it never felt like they could actually stop anything. It felt like Roundtree was getting them 2nd and medium consistently and then Bo would find someone underneath for the first down. Those two long Wheatfall receptions seemed like they were pretty well defended Moxey just couldn't get a hand in there. I'm disappointed that the West side upper deck seemed to run out of popcorn by the third quarter.

Week 1 fines Woodbey drew a max fine for his grade 2 roughing the passer

Woodbey going down non-contact and grabbing his lower leg and not being ruled out after 2 practices is pretty wild. Thought for sure he blew out his Achilles

Woodbey listed as having a Calf injury on the report. Wonder if that means he didn't damage his Achilles and it might not be as serious.

Geez I'm watching the Recap highlights package and it might be a double whammy for Woodbey. Fairly significant injury and that RTP he took in the 1st half was a Grade 2 so he's probably gonna end up lighter in the pocketbook

I think the 3down recap mentioned Zach was pressured on 5 of 8 of his pass attempts in the first half. Definitely looked a lot more comfortable out there in the second.

Weird game for the defense. Only 6 completions through the first half, and then 4 completions allowed until the 3 minute warning where they gave up 7 on that last drive. Seemed like the secondary was just playing guys in front of them and Adams was fitting them into those windows. The Bombers were about 2 inches away from the Stamps kicking out of their end zone but alas. Also got completely run over in the 1st half and then pretty much locked up Mills in the second. Strange seeing the line get pressure, 4 sacks in week 1 is a sixth of the way to last seasons total. And Collaros was more successful throwing the deep ball this game than he was last year... 3/6 on 20+ Depth yards... although none of those completions were much more than that. All 3 incompletions to Pokey. He was about 40% last year with 7 picks

I'm not sure what happened but it felt like the first half to the 3 minute warning just flew by. And then the rest of the game just crawled.

If either of the QBs gets nicked I wonder if Tachinski gets any reps under center 😂

It's interesting because it's in Canada and the US that they have exclusive rights, but they are stepping into the CFL+ role for outside that market, so are they just going to provide the TSN stream for those markets or are they going to have to actually cover all those games? It would be kind of lame if they did remote commentary outside of Saturday... Even if I wouldn't typically be subjected to it. I wonder if the CBS Sports contract is still in effect at the start of this or if there is going to be a further announcement about the 60 game slate in the US

DAZN has 20 million subscribers globally. In Canada they are probably the best way to watch the NFL and Soccer so they should have a reasonable Canadian subscriber base. I can't imagine that people who only watch their own teams games will shell out 35/mo to catch the 2-4 games that get caught up in this. And if you enjoy watching all the games week over week 35 is still fairly steep They are definitely counting on existing subscribers to make it worth their while. CFL is a summer league so it could fill some of the gap for them between Club and European Soccer and the NFL

If anyone is curious like I briefly was if this deal was implemented this year it would affect Week 18 (away at MTL) and week 19 (home vs Calgary)

Would be a big boost to any potential expansion fees as well

Sounds like $500 Million over 6 years. 66% increase over the last deal. Each team should get about an extra $3.5 million/yr.

I don't pick the teams but it seemed to me like Wilson was more the 'oh **** we should probably carry a second guy with pro 3-down experience on the roster' guy. Elgersma has the size teams seem to be looking at for a short yardage guy, and Perkins won the UFL MVP with his legs. I don't recall him really standing out in the role, other than that one big run he broke against the Riders in the playoffs.

It would be great if Lawler were still on the team but I don't think he signs a million dollar contract this year if he had Collaros, Streveler, and Wilson throwing him the ball last year

Why don't other teams give their running back the ball more? Are they stupid?

It's just the in stadium feed so you can pretend you are just watching everything on the jumbotron But isn't this game being played in Saskatoon? So I imagine it would be worse than usual.

I'm not sure if Thorne had playing time coming... I'm not sure how you give 5 QBs playing time in a game. For Wilson... maybe I'm a bit cynical but is it that hard to think Wilson who has attempted 39 passes through 4 season of pro football and coming into this 3rd season on a team being told that he'll be battling for the 3rd QB spot finally deciding before live bullets start going that maybe this is the end of the line? Can I vote for the option of poor roster management? Why bring a guy back for his third year to compete to hold a clipboard all year? I'm guessing for a little bit of continuity but you know what you have in him after 2 full seasons.
