 Ayers is my biggest worry. That kid has soo much potential, work ethic and desire. He makes plays few people in football can pull off. Be it on teams or D. We gotta keep polishing that kid. If he half fulfills what he’s capable of, he’s the best defensive player in the league. Idk how many times we’ve seen guys who are that level of disruptive, but it’s been really rare for us.

No lack of talent in that tandem. A whole lot of could’ve been greatness between those two. 

so peruse this and tell me what you see says guy cant throw or run an actual offense....from 3 min mark through to the 4:30 mark shows ability to make throws in pocket with heat in his face and drop nice balls from a roll out/sprint.....and many of those runs were from a escape from pocket or a designed play Not bashing up the gut....and teams had tpo respect it...the 5:37 mark in particular..pocket collapsed but teams had to respect the reciever routes and he has ability to bust straight up gut and gouge the defence for a 30+ yard score...and in the first yr there was many like that...as well as his runs outside....when teams didnt basically have a run telegraphed to them with the stupidity we put him thru ;last yr
I recall too in MTL at game I was at him dropping a 50+ yrd dime on Simonese down the rail from pocket in our endzone as well....dude has ability if allowed to actually play as a traditional QB....and he actually a more polished and refined passer now...he's evolved his technique and mechanics....4+ yrs in the NFL will help with that
A guy who showed he can excel and knows the CFL game...and then 4 yrs getting better in the NFL to come back....foolish to not turn him loose as a QB

If game 1 drive 1 starts with strev in an empty back set followed by him running QB power for 1 yard, it's gonna be a long season. If he drops back to pass with a deep route as much as he runs, it's gonna be a gooder. 

If Patterson is our best option, we are screwed.

You can't gain anything from that observation based on what we gave him to work with...scheme...and not running anything in practice in that BB...
Lots of games last yr as well ZC accomplished nothing other than giving ball away...and that was an offence tailored to him...and taking all the reps
Drew brown looked like hot garbage a lot in the beginning but was allowed to grow as an actual QB..Strev was never afforded that here...ever
Cherry picking one game when have no clue whatsoever of what all the circumstances involved were proves nothing..and was pretty obvious all yr..last 2 really that we couldn't make any adjustments on the fly or in game for the most part it our life depended on it...or how to best use our personelle 
He was only a SY specialist here in his late part of first tenure and the idiotic role we had him play last yr...if Brown was all that and a sac of plums he'd have been on a 4 yr nfl journey ...was he? 
 
Strev was failed by Bomber coaching...plain and simple...almost ruined
Getting looks...or no looks in NFL at times is an odd experience.. some is political..some is black listed...some is just pass the visual "appeaeance" Lenius..KSB and that wr from last yr wave and say hi
If a QB gets significant preseason play..gets on roster and in actual games...and bounces around for 4 yrs...there is a reason for it...especially a CFL detector as sadly they are victims of politics and bias' moreso than any other positional player who was in Canada first...

That's exactly it... if faj can be a starter there is 0 reason streveler can't. He was a much better prospect coming in as a passer than faj, has a better arm and a better attitude and showed insanely more as a rookie than faj did.

agreed...at worst ....he can be Faj when Faj plays that odd game outside his ability....at best I see him as a Tracy Ham type....that tho has to be allowed to be an actual QB and with a Co-Ordinator that isn't stuck in a box and has no clue how to use players.....Realistically I can see him as a more polished Kerry Joseph....a guy who will lead and have guys go thru a wall for him...as thats what he is gonna do...and give you more wins than losses and a guy who can take a game on and pull out a win from time to time on his sure will alone....Camp should be tres' interesting

Kelly is the most legit Canadian we have on roster who isnt already a starter...and even then is more legit than a couple who are "starters" Kid has all the skills....and the smarts
That and the fact he one of our best ST guys on top of it....Groomed right he could play half back or Corner as well as Safety and I wouldn't be bothered with him getting reps at SAM....He's that good
we def brought in some intruiging free safety body types who reek of versatility...be interesting camp and with my flexible work sched I hope to attend most it

Love how he moves in coverage. A Canadian S who can pick up any one on a bust underneath is a great luxury. Forget if he takes a step forward this year. I just want to see more of what we’ve seen from him.

People sleeping on him thinking he’s like the late stages oft injured Hallett boys. Kelly’s a legit run and cover guy. Impressed me with physicality and ability to play down hill against the run. Small sample size, but he’s shown a hell of a lot of promise. 
 I’m not a fan of the token Canadian at S that teams have frequently run out. Including us at times. But Kelly isn’t that guy.
