Ahh here we go, coaching bias. While yes there is some bias from American coach’s, wouldn’t it mean they are a bad coach if they kind determine who is the better talent? But you are also assuming the the guy from dauphin (let’s say Troy Westwood) is a better football player than the American. Also which coach in the cfl hasn’t already been in the cfl for a long time or is a Canadian.

Nope never said that at all. But go ahead and put words in my mouth. If you take away the 21 minimum rule doesn’t mean you take all Americans in their place. It means you take the best available player whether it be global, American or Canadian.

Well I actually said keep 7 Canadian starters but get rid of the min of 21 Canadian rule. But we will just have to agree to disagree bcuz we are just gonna go in circles

2019-20 CFL Offseason
Well I’m not for taking out Canadians, but my questions still stands, why wouldn’t the best players play?

2019-20 CFL Offseason
Ok well yes and no. But let me ask why wouldn’t the best players be playing?

It probably would be a negative reaction, so why not this. Have a mandatory 7 Canadian starters but take out the min of 21 Canadians on roster. This way we don’t have to watch guys like Jeff Hecht play

So I’m anti Canadian qb bcuz I want the best of the best playing regardless if they are American Canadian global? And ya they should get developed, but that starts with better university programs.

So why not get rid of the ratio and let the best man play? If the cis qbs are good enough they should beat out the college ones.

The Star Wars Thread
Well yes and no. They have flaws, but there was a story that it was telling. Ep 7,8 have been all over the place, terrible story line, cheesy line, bad acting. I could go on and on about how the new ones are terrible, but the originals and sequels at least were connected together and told a good story. These new ones seem like more of an extension of something that didn’t need to be extended.

Well that gives me some faith then

So I’m a big Star Wars fan, but not 100% sure if I wanna see this one because the last Jedi may have ruined my love for it. Yes I think it was that bad. Is the new one worth seeing?

Qb is actually gonna leave the team in some tough decisions, all veteran qbs have some serious injury history where you don’t know how much longer they have or if they can still perform. Then you got young guys, Arbuckle who played in Calgary so of course his passing numbers will look good and strev who has not shown he can be a consistent starter. Gonna be a tough choice and leave some fans unhappy

Totally agree! I just get sick of hearing that the cfl is trash because it’s not the nfl.

2020 CFL Free-Agents
Just goes to show that the skill gap from cfl to nfl isn’t as big as people think. The idea that everyone in the nfl is better then everyone in the cfl is silly. Nfl Is a politic driven league

I’m not denying his potential, or his measurables being better than everybody else’s. And there is an argument to be made that coaching can hold a guy back or push them forward, but at some point the guy has to show that he can adapt to whatever to show he is a real superstar. His throwing has improved, but still not at the point of being an effective passing qb, but yes his run game is the best there is. And don’t get me wrong, I think he has potential to be a dual threat qb, but in a league where results are important, he hasn’t shown anything to make people believe that he is anywhere close. It still leaves me with the question of how long can we wait on a guy like this? 1,2,3 years? Like I said, I agree with you on his potential, but gotta disagree with his improvement or his ability to show he’s a passer.

While you make some good points, you can’t compare his stats from a FCS college team to his current situation. If we start doing that, then we should take a look at Brian Brohm again. (Settle down its a joke). But by looking at his college stats, he is the second best qb to come out if Louisville, second to Lamar Jackson. Now this doesn’t mean I think we should give up on strev right now. I do think they should re-sign him. But we have to be real, how long do we hold onto the guy? If he can’t show any improvement on throwing, or show to be a starting qb, the team is doing more damage to itself in the long run.
