  1. I’m not sure how many of you remember last year, but the same source who told me Schoen was staying in Winnipeg just told me Lawler is going to Hamilton.
  2. Nothing yet, but the OL signings as a whole have been pretty quiet so far. Ryan Hunter re-upped with Toronto today, possible that’ll get the market moving.
  3. Kenny Lawler reportedly offered $250k by Calgary. Did he not leave in 2022 only to immediately say the grass isn’t greener and he shouldn’t have chased the bag? I’m all about guys getting paid but it would be hard to pity him if he hates it in Calgary.
  4. Garbutt to Hamilton.
  5. I’m going to guess Ottawa or Edmonton?
  6. Bless, Diontae Williams & Amari Henderson are both no longer Riders. There’ll be a new boundary CB, could not possibly have been worse than those two.
  7. Elks also re-sign Nyles Morgan. Their D is undoubtedly better, but their O… they have holes to fill there.
  8. And allegedly a reunion with Jake Ceresna is looming…
  9. Ed Hervey is playing Mad Men right now. Though allegedly, Tyrell Ford came in at $230k.
  10. Metchie to Edmonton as well per Farhan. Loading up on some great Canadian talent.
  11. Robbie Smith to Edmonton as well… As expected, they’re just signing everyone.
  12. Well today is the day the Hervey window officially opens… it’ll be interesting to see if any signings are more or less official before FA opens.
  13. Great signing for yall.
  14. I wonder how much/if Schoen’s impact will be impacted by his knee injury when he comes back… he’s so good on the waggle. @Booch any knowledge?
  15. This does feel like a “Edmonton signs everyone” type offseason.
  16. It’s Jake Thomas!
  17. Can’t believe they released Woli… I personally will not miss him converting every bloody 2nd down possible against the Riders. Only 29, he’s a no brainer signing for another team.
  18. I can’t wait till yall sign Jake Ceresna and MOS makes him rotational because it’s not his favourite Jake on the roster.
  19. Also doesn’t hurt that he went to Clemson, that likely boosted his resume above other guys similar to him.
  20. Extremely rare for a Canadian university talent to play in the senior bowl, and he’s the first QB to ever do so from a Canadian university.
  21. I personally have no animosity towards Harris, though I can’t speak for the rest of the fanbase. It feels different to me because Jones released Dressler & he signed with the Bombers, he had a bone to pick with the Riders & rightfully so. Harris isn’t leaving the Bombers for the Riders, and allegedly he reached out to the Bombers first for a job (his words, not sure if it’s true) so I guess it’s not like he chose us over you. I personally am excited, seeing the elite players become coaches is always cool. As for free agency, the Riders desperately need a boundary corner, and a safety. Corners are generally fair easy to bring in and attempt to find a good one so I’d prefer they didn’t overspend, but I’d like to throw some money towards Royce Metchie out of Toronto. If I have to see Nelson Lokombo take one more snap at starting safety, I will shed tears.
  22. He’s a stud, I remember watching him in college. Inevitable Bombers DB signing who winds up being an all star.
  23. I won’t remotely pretend that I was a fan of Harris, I probably made fun of him as much as anyone. With that being said, not just limited to Harris, but it’s cool to see recently retired players join the coaching ranks. I think he’ll do well. But you’re right @Booch… Suitor is going to be nauseating with this one.
  24. Shocked yet not shocked they brought back Thomas for another year… one of MOS’ guys to his very core.
  25. I feel like someone is going to pay him to be their boundary corner.
