Chris Matthews signs with Stamps
Seeing Matthews in a Stamps uniform is absolutely infuriating.

Chris Matthews signs with Stamps
We did the same thing to Ricky Collins as well.

Chris Matthews signs with Stamps
Even though we got that huge win in Edmonton, he still needs to be replaced. This team needs a different perspective & approach. (I'm being politically correct here).

He is a frustrating Head Coach. I just don't know what to say anymore about the guy

Yes as we discussed this yesterday.

Matt Nichols - YAY!!!!!!!!!
I don't know if it's being indecisive. I don't see a lot of hot routes where Nichols can get rid of the ball quickly when he needs to. I think it's the offense LaPo runs. You'd think he'd have routes Nichols could use to get rid of the ball when he has to but I just don't see it.

Okay, fair enough.

Stafford & Gurley were both signed late in the season when they were released by the Argos. The third player cut went to the Eskimos.

Winning means a championship. I'll say this about Cal Murphy. He had a reputation of being crotchety & cheap but if he saw someone out there that he thought could help the Bombers he signed them. He wasn't afraid to push veterans to be better. If they felt uncomfortable or pressured that was okay. And we won Grey Cups. That was the bottom line for Murph. There was no country club atmosphere or entitlement with him.

I don't care about perception. I want to win.

Two players, Gurley & Stafford in 6 seasons.

Around the League: 2018 Season
Why does this team refuse to upgrade itself during the season? Why are we loathe to add players that could help us yet other teams are. I throw this at the feet of the 3 people running this team. Every year CFL vets become available from the NFL & we take a pass. And like clockwork every year we either don't make the playoffs or make a hasty exit if we do. Sometimes it seems like Miller, Walters & O'Shea don't care. The fans deserve much better than they get from those guys. It is absolutely mind boggling that every year we break camp with the players on the roster from training camp & end the season with them.

I hope that's the last we see of the guy. He was a great player in his prime. However, he's become a retread. He needs to just retire with some dignity & quit being a hanger on.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
I'm sure the Rider fans would like an asterisk beside the GC game they lost to Montreal at McMahon Stadium. "If only the game had ended 13 seconds earlier", they lament.

Blue Bomber Photos
One of my favourite pics. The entire OL firing off low from the LOS into the Riders DL. That's how you win the battle along the line. Get low at pad level!!

No love from me. Just hate.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
It's the best rivalry in the CFL. We hate each other.

You may give us credit but your fanbase won't. So really, do you expect us to do the same? LOL. As a Rider fan you're marginally acceptable here but your fanbase is insufferable when your team wins. No quarter drawn & no quarter given from us here. I enjoy a Rider loss as much as I enjoy a Bomber win.

No, it's fact.

Yep.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
Sigh. I still remember the day that Cal Murphy signed Matt Dunigan.

I have no idea why we aren't bringing in players at the WR position to challenge who we have now. It's crazy how we just stand pat doing nothing year after year.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
Yeah, agree.

Riders @ Als: can the birds muster an upset?
Luck? No, the Riders made plays to win. They were prepared. Plus the Als defensive personnel aren't as good as we may have thought they were with older players like Chip Cox & John Bowman starting. Cox is 35. Bowman 36. Luck had nothing to do with it. Your Riders are a better team. But we're talking Als here & not the Stamps.

Rich Stubler was an outstanding DC up to when he was with the Stamps. But he's in his 70's now. For whatever reason when his defense had to make a stop then they couldn't do it. That D of his didn't look good when they had to stop the Riders but didn't.
