As outspoken as Lawless was when he first started he has been 100x better the last couple years at least since the Jets came back. At this point he's one of the best in the business.

Oh i definitely agree they are better now... i still believe that Willy had more than ample opportunity with what he had. Some of the main reasons i think we had problems don't even stem from the Oline in the beginning. Willy was having a hell of a time throwing the ball, which allowed defences to stack the box and completely shut down our rushing attack. In the game against Calgary Harris averaged .5 yards rushing in the first half... almost every time we were caught in a 2nd and long situation and Willy is obviously incapable of throwing long so there you go... 3 n out.

What leads you to believe he isn't better? This is literally based off nothing

I never once said Mcduffie is useless. I actually said i will wait and see with him, i merely said he hasn't proved anything yet and from what i have seen he doesnt have the greatest set of hands. Comparing Bowman and Mcduffie is apples and oranges, Mcduffie has a grand total of 2 catches for 8 yards in his CFL career and Bowman.... well yenno

Receivers whole job is to CATCH the ball. DB can still be effective if every pass hits him in the facemask. Your point is terrible.

its pure speculation but he's been with the team for a whole year now and we've yet to see him do much of anything at receiver yet.

i guess thats fair, I agree it doesnt hurt to see what he can do out there as i have heard he has some skill at receiver. To me he doesn't seem like he can consistently play as his route running and hands are probably sub par. Would be interesting what he can do out there though.

almost guarantee Mcduffie will be returning kicks and punts. probably not a whole lot on offence

He was one of the few serviceable canadian players available at the time on a canadian starved roster. he didnt quite work out but you can't really blame him imo

i'd imagine Mcduffie will be primarily returning kicks this week
