She said she was going to do it before her appointment. She said she did it. Then, lied and said she didn't. Then a recording of her doing it was released. Why do Albertans not care that their premier is interfering in court cases? This is by far the most shocking and disturbing thing in politics right now. Why is a premier allowed to interfere? It's criminal. She should resign.

In world with Postmedia, it's laughable that CBC is the most "biased" news source. They try to be balanced to a fault. Postmedia is openly hostile to the centre and the left. Look at the people they employ!

Upcoming Movies
I'd rather they just made a movie with Tamatoa as the main character. It does feel too soon.

The Golf Thread
I care less about them paying the players upfront but I do care about the blood money that they're paying them. They want to buy a clean image.

The CBC favours whoever is in power, always have. The board is led by govt cronies. But, they do an amazing job delivering on their mandate. I just wish they were funded properly.

You don't know this at all. That's just your bias. It's Johnston. He was Governor General of Canada, appointed by Stephen Harper. Next time we'll ask the gov't to use smaller words. I love how you can just invalidate something because you don't know a word.

What's most incredible is that the fans of Fox know that they are being lied to and know that the commentators think they are stupid. But, they just open their mouths and take the **** in.

You don't agree that the Gov't appointed a rapporteur? Say what?

Since Trump is an alt-right icon, I have no doubt the police would try to release him quickly. They love his pro-beating prisoner policy. Thin Blue Skin.

FFS. I knew it was coming and I'm still angry. We'll hold them accountable this time, trust us! This is bad for consumers.

It seems most don't like any of the current leaders. At least, support is down. So, how do you motivate your base, get out the vote, with an unpopular leader? As a population, we are disengaged.- Canadian Politics
PP has been effective communicating to his base. I'm not sure if it resonates far outside but he's built up quite a catalogue of complaints. Complaints play well and get votes with dissatisfied voters. I'm not sure that the Libs are losing support, as much as they are losing voters. That is to say, the ability to motivate Libs to get out and vote, is waning.- Canadian Politics
I completely understand. For me, I appreciate what they communicate but it doesn't work for everyone. I am engaged, I follow it and I am educated in political science/studies. So, policy stuff interests me. However, most are not and relate to what they see on a daily basis. Inflation - that's important to everyone and it impacts people differently. They are not communicating this very well. There are lots of other examples, including the narrative on carbon pricing. Sure they won the legal battle but those opposed still control the narrative. He's a landlord too, don't forget.- Random Jets News
Point taken. They are both around the same though on PPG (with the Jets).- Canadian Politics
But, they need to communicate that to everyone. They're just too smug and do not speak to the entire country. It hurts them.- Canadian Politics
I used to think Freeland but the last 2 years has me rethinking. She's really failed to communicate effectively during a time where we need our Finance Minister to be an effective communicator. I don't see how that changes if she's the leader of the party/Prime Minister. I still think she's good but I'm struggling to see her as Prime Minister now. A leadership campaign may change that. I think Carney would be a good Prime Minister but they should never elect him as the leader. It's Michael Ignatieff all over again. He the epitome of Laurentian Elite and not what we need now. Anand would be good but could she garner enough support? Also, I worry how an East coaster would do in Ontario. - US Politics
