I don't know, Forde was pretty excited about seeing him.

You would think that during a mic'd up game that you would hear less out of Black and Forde but NOPE!!

In two weeks will be his redemption story. It will be glorious, must watch football.

Pregame talk: Bombing the Hammer
I would buy that for sitting him last week but think he's on an "internal" suspension this week. No matter. He's a pro. Teams good. All is well.

US Politics
It's complete abdication of their duty to not proceed with an impeachment. What possible defence could they possibly have? How does it "win" voters over for the Dems to allow their country to be led by the criminal?

US Politics
With the current Democrat leadership? Highly unlikely. They're hoping the Wizard of Oz will grant them some courage.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I see you know my children!

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I have a pair of season tickets and I usually bring my oldest. If I could, I would bring my wife on my second ticket and bring my boys free. I would, of course, make my wife sit up high with the youngest. They're only there for the experience anyhow. So, kids getting in free, as long as it's not only with the $20 tickets, would be good for me.

I'm glad this worked out for Edmonton but I don't think we need it here. They have 20k seats empty that they can easily open up. We can't do that here. Our sections may not be full but we having people in every section. We already added the Rum Hut tickets.

TSN 1290 Rants and Raves
I worked with Mackling's wife back when he was just starting out with bit gigs (after he won the contest). He seemed really genuine and his wife was fantastic. I'm glad for his success but just can't get into their show. I suppose I would rather yell at Westwood through the radio (or just listen to a podcast).

TSN 1290 Rants and Raves
It may be true that CJOB can sell more advertising but it also makes the product terrible. Why can't they sell less for more? I refuse to turn on OB unless Bob is on.

We seemed to be bored ON A GAME DAY!! What's wrong with us.

TSN 1290 Rants and Raves
The thing I appreciate most about Hustler is that he interviews very well. He let's the guests speak and asks good questions. He never acts like he knows more than anyone else. When Lawless was there, he would ask a question, then give his opinion before the guest had a chance to answer to try to "show off" to the guest.

TSN 1290 Rants and Raves
I like Hustler but he does not need Rick Ralph. The Warm-up is better show than the Drive. Hustler may be the best regular radio personality on radio in Winnipeg, aside from Bob.

TSN 1290 Rants and Raves
Better put our TSN 1290 rants and raves in here. I'll start. I love the Friday 6-pack. Think it's funny. Their picks are ridiculous and their rationale is poor. I also like Rewucki. I think he adds actual analysis.

I love Wednesday's for Jason Cole. Love that guy. Also love the Friday 6-pack. But that's about it. EDIT: I've created a new thread in the General Discussion on TSN 1290 so that, however tempting, we don't derail this thread.

Yeah, I expect more than 150 yards on the ground tonight, which won't leave GM Nichols too much time to pad the stats. 3 TDs, 295 yards.

We'll stop trying to score, when they stop trying to score.

His football knowledge is pretty bad too. He's clearly just a fan and not a real student of the game. It's worse when he goes on about the "locker room" and how things are. Then, they comment on how Wheeler may not be in touch with some of the younger players on the team because things have changed so much since he entered the league 10+ years ago. Well, do you think MAYBE things have changed a bit since YOU entered the CFL? I could go on and on but I won't.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Yeah, it's been pretty bad. I'm sure there are a number of factors, including the heavy turnover in the off-season, new rookie coaches and a lack of depth at QB. I still think the Bombers would be right up with the Stamps of the past few years. They have been the standard. Would be a great match-up, that's for sure. I expect the teams to get much better as the season goes on. The product will improve. Might be too late to grab that international audience that they were hoping for though.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
Excellent point. Thanks for the reminder. And, he doesn't have much to lose. Unless this team completely unravels through the rest of the season, he's going to be one of the top paid coaches in the league going forward.

2019 CFL Season: Around the League
I remember TSN1290 going overboard on how good BC and Edmonton got this offseason. Also were convinced that the Riders would carry on just fine. And, Calgary would be Calgary. Pretty sure Westwood thought the Bombers would be the crossover team. I'm just listening to him, right now on replay, saying that the Bomber defence is smoke-and-mirrors. I hate his "analysis".

I'm assuming that Lapo leaves this offseason for a HC gig. That should free up some money for MOS.
