Game 51 @ Columbus
Aaaand he's now been scratched for tonight's game: Methinks the coach is just chucking turds at the wall hoping something sticks... What a ****-show.

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
I'd say your interpretation is correct. The WFC hasn't thrown Nichols under the bus by letting him know their plans moving forward for 2020. He's a pending FA, anyway. https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/why-do-we-throw-someone-under-the-bus

Game 50 @ Carolina
He isn't wrong. Remember 2015? The blue line was alright but the forwards bought into playing from the defensive zone out, with a focus on sound checking, closing lanes, and collapsing toward the net to minimize high danger opportunities. This season is not dissimilar apart from a way better netminder and a more gifted top 6. But to a man, they are playing **** poor defensive hockey, giving up way too many shots and more high danger chances against than any other team in the league. Watching them defend at times looks like a horrendous free for all. Whatever system is in place, it's not being implemented well or consistently. The Jets are fast - when they skate. But when they don't, which seems to happen often this season, all that talent is meaningless. That's exacerbated by the porous blue line and the injuries. If Maurice is the fall guy, so be it. But I can't see his replacement having much more success for the balance of the 2019-20 season*. I maintain we're already looking at next season territory with this team. * I'd love to be proven wrong, to be sure.

Game 50 @ Carolina
There's a difference between firing a coach for a team underachieving despite its roster (see Laviollette or Gallant) and firing a coach because the team is devoid of talent and depth at key positions (see Babcock). As for an immediate difference, that's a possibility, much as we saw with the Leafs when Keefe took over coaching duties. But they've since come back down to earth and are now on the outside looking in. A temporary quick fix doesn't remedy things like depth issues or injuries. No doubt Maurice and his staff have to wear this ineptitude and maybe Gallant is the man to take the helm. However, I still think this season is a write-off based on other, far more glaring problems with this team.

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
We have no idea what was actually discussed, so it's probably best to not assume anything just yet. This whole situation puts the Bombers in a bit of a precarious position. It'd suck to see agents use this as leverage for the respective clients.

Game 50 @ Carolina
What exactly would that accomplish right now? A coaching change wouldn't solve the injuries. A coaching change wouldn't solve the craptastic blue line. A coaching change wouldn't solve the Byfuglien fiasco.

Game 49 @ Chicago
Not good enough for what...? I mean, they finished second in the league in 2018 and second in the division last season.

Yes, they were.

Yippee.

Game 49 @ Chicago
How was it similar last season? Trouba - gone. Myers - gone. Chiarot - gone. Byfuglien - gone. Basically, the entire right side of the blue line is gone this season and it's been filled with subpar replacements with the exception of Pionk.

Yeah, you're going to need to post credible evidence to back up any of this. That's not accurate: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/cnn/ Still beats Faux News by a substantial margine, though. (https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/fox-news/) Again, you're going to need to substantiate all these claims with impartial, objective, fact-checked evidence. I'm curious who you know inside the media industry. I'll bet it's nobody at all. I know it's your MO here to just poo-poo on those "evil progressives who want to ruin western civilization" but you've done nothing in this thread except spew diarrhea with no factual basis whatsoever. Mental gymnastics trolling and nothing more.

Gallant for DeBoer... Makes about as much sense as replacing Laviolette with Hynes. Weird season for coaches.- Game 46 vs Nashville
Nobody said Maurice isn't partly to blame for the team's struggles. Of course you can't be bothered to post any statistics whatsoever to back up your claims... Same as always. And what do you mean since losing to Vegas? Losing in the 2018 WCF...? That was nearly two years ago. This team struggled after the 2019 All-Star Break and has struggled for the bulk of this season save November. That falls at the feet of management, coaching, and the players. They all get to share the blame. I know all you want to do is **** on Maurice, Wheeler, and Scheifele, but FFS, look at the entire picture.- Game 46 vs Nashville
Masterfully...? Nah. This goes beyond Laine, Connor, and Ehlers, anyway. Little's contract, Perreault's contract, Kulikov's contract, and perhaps even Wheeler's contract have hindered Cheveldayoff's ability to maintain a balanced roster. The Byfuglien situation hasn't helped anything but that is not the only thing holding this team back at present.- US Politics
At least you continue to positively contribute to this discussion. Oh, wait... Just more whining about "progressives"... You keep using that word when you evidently have no clue what it means. Here's hoping the Ti-Cats go another 20 years without winning anything - simply because of your stupid comments in this thread.- Game 46 vs Nashville
