I not normally one to use reffing as an excuse for a loss...and bemoan it too much as a lot of times it's equally as crappy both ways, and more times than not don't really effect the outcome of the game...but that one was blatant and had a huge effect on the outcome, and the PI we challenged and then got a call stands decision as well was pathetic....it's shameful on the league

So I actually felt this was maybe the best game of the year collaros played... not his fault guys fumbled on him and the OL was trash letting him get sacked a shot ton.
  4. 4 points
He also goes on to say that this is hand fighting and that it’s a slippery slope to make those calls. Not only did the DB run through the receiver but he’s restricting him from making a play on the ball. Not hand fighting. It’s a bad take (and it should have been PI). Don’t apologize for shitty officiating - demand more of them and the league.
  5. Should have bought him a happy meal...lol

Imagine being a rookie and watching Biggie or BA flail around, whiff or get run over out there while you have no chance in hell of seeing the field other than on teams. MOS is loyal to a fault to anyone in the starting rotation. Doesn't matter if you earned your spot or were handed it due to injury (like Johnson), once you are there, you're pretty safe.
  7. 4 points
You know darn well he added all those qualifiers beforehand out of fear of being chastised by the league for simply stating a demonstrable fact. That or he's just a interminable suck-up...although the options aren't mutually exclusive

It took a whole lot of mistakes to lose that game.....but Bombers were up to the task. .

I'm not worn out, just feels like everything is stagnant. I'd rather they play new guys and go th rough the growing pains with the highs and lows rather then watching the team slowly fall apart hoping that the vets will find their game again.

What a series for Hubert where the OL in charge of blocking him gets a procedure call and then the next play he goes and draws a holding penalty. Last round in the CFL draft. What a steal
  12. Guys, it obvious, Rourke to Ottawa for 2025. They cut Brown who we bring back. Brown leads us to the 2025 Grey Cup that we win in a blowout.
  13. 2 points
Demski was wearing the DB like a backpack before the ball got there. I would dearly love to hear an explanation of how it was not PI.
  14. our only way out is if we talk him into retirement.....or he gets hurt...loooong term style like Miller last year....I have no idea why...or who pushed for that 3 yr deal with all that guarantee on a QB who will be turning 37 in that final yr...a guy with injury history in his past. Was it ZC aking for that or he would walk?...Or was it Osh pushing for it to Walters?...who knows...but was a bad move any way you slice it...for any player in their mid 30's really as you can see the drop off can come out of nowhere...and come really fast

I’d tend to agree with a lot of this, except I don’t think it’s a good idea to fire MOS midseason and replace him with Buck. We can say who we’d want on here but undoubtedly that’s what the club would do. Right now, despite what some of us want, both Walters and O’Shea will get another chance to fix this for 2025. It’s arguable if one or both should, but can we realistically expect anything else? What I’d want is a fresh start with the offence. New OL first and foremost, maybe the offensive coaching staff as well. QB is a huge concern moving forward. Their best option is honestly Collaros retiring after this season. That would allow the money to fix everything else. An elite OL or 2 in FA and a mid-range salaried QB would go a long way.

  22. I watched the game again....I know glutton for punishment...... Biggie had some bad plays, but some good plays.....I still think he is a good player but no longer the great player he was and not the guy who should play all snaps..... BA was in the right spot a-lot We did have both woods and Adams on at times.... Our DB's dropped a couple..... Overall sure we can rag on a few of the guys....and some are not what they once were, but our defence played well... Our punter played pretty good, our coverage was very good... Case secured the ball well and looked good, our blocking seemed better Castillo had a tough day....but the last one the snap was bad.... Zach actually didn't play bad...it just seemed like it to me on the first watch...he had no time or pocket almost all game... Brady played really good....minus the early fumble I feel he should have got the ball more The receivers were ok, but hard to fully judge as any route that took time never got to develop... Fumbleites.....yikes.... The pick 6 was not on Zach... That offensive line OMG....and it wasn't the outside...it was the middle...Nuef, Eli, Kolo, Dobson all got DOMINATED..... The reffing wasn't as bad as last week , but consistency...especially what constitutes PI.....yikes....

Classic Suitor. Blowing the Edmonton DB's seconds before they get torched for a big score. MOS is playing on a different level than other HC's. They are all still trying to use their DL to accomplish that feat!

Yet here you are doing the same thing. I mean how many times can you say you find it annoying. You have the choice whether or not you see someone's posts - you can easily add them to your ignore list if it's that big of an issue.
  25. What proof do you have that Rourke has ever had this attitude? (Please share if you do). He wanted to make more money and try the NFL. That is his right. As far as I've ever seen, he's been a humble young man who has just tried to better himself.

In no way shape or form was it a bad call to go for it on 3rd and 1 when your Jumbo was 100% on the season had been crushing it all night, getting 3 or 4 each time...
  27. Not sure if it's been mentioned but in OT it was a really bad snap on the FG. Punter tried to get it down in time, but the whole process was "off" and that definitely led to the miss.
  28. Some thoughts about yesterday's game, in no particular order. That's four fumbles with three of them lost from Demski this year. He gets paid relatively big $$s to not do that. Castillo can blame the misses on the natural grass field.....kidding, sort of. I don't know what to say about the O-line other than "Help!" Pass blocking is atrocious. Most of them must have graduated with straight As from matador school. I thought run blocking was OK especially when Eli was in. This guy should be starting C.. Wilson was pretty good and dramatic. Johnson should be given a bus ticket out of town. I really like what Miller has done with the special teams after a slow start to the season. Early on they were giving up the sidelines which resulted in a few long returns by the opposition. His plan and some disciplined play looks good. They seem to have gotten on the same page as their punter, too. Case reminds me a bit of Paul Bennett....nothing flashy but good hands an goes forward. Good for cold weather and the playoffs. Oops, well, maybe not this year. Buck Pierce is not having a good year with his play calling in critical situations. Officiating has been terrible all year. The league should be embarrassed by it. Has any coach, player, TSN talking head called them out on it. As for the Command Centre, I think they spent most of their time eating popcorn. I was more than surprised that PI wasn't called on that INT TD return. I'm also thinking that the O-lines on all teams have suddenly learned to not hold. It's hard to believe how few holding penalties are being called this year. The Argo's QB are not very good. I'll leave it at that.

Replacing some guys now...actually helps us squeeze in the playoffs if done now...and gives some.games to get experience The idea to run with guys like Biggie..Thomas...Kolo...BA...and not actually address some positions with best possible player we can...instead of this fascination to start as many Canadians as possible which does nothing other than serve Osh's bias and agenda as opposed to best player possible from the get go has been our demise
  45. I'm at the point now where I'm ready to start the airlift and get rid of the old guys who won't be around next year anyway (Neuf, Biggie, Alexander). I know it will be bad for our chances of sneaking into the last playoff spot. It will increase our chances of bouncing back next year because we'll know which replacements are worth spending more time on. It will give the new guys half a season to figure out the league, the speed, and what it takes to be successful. It will free up some SMS space too.
