  1. Congrats to Coach Dyce, a true Manitoba product. Came up in the Winnipeg minor football system, to the Bisons, then Bombers and now this. Fantastic news. HIs son coaches in BC right now, but I'd be curious to see if he moves east to coach with the old man... this makes me giggle a bit because Ballsy was so convinced that he was coming and bringing BLM with him....

I hope he is successful, I've never met someone that I felt deserved to succeed more.
  3. Dear Cody, My account was hacked before. You know I love you and that you are the only person capable of leading the 2023 Riders. Please unblock me. Ballsy

  6. Another Ballsy guarantee!
  7. I wish our whole offense was more effective in the playoffs. Ballsy is now on the "Sign Khari asap" train. Can't wait until Dicky has to try to take on the dual role of HC & OC when they can't hire someone. 😂

As somebody who has generally voted Conservative and who is not a fan of Justin in many ways, I'll take Trudeau and the Liberals any day over a guy who touts crypto as a way to avoid inflation, supports the convoy and who is clearly using Trump as his model.
  11. Just waiting for the triumphant return of Fajardo to the Riders! It will be so beautiful!
  12. Riders gonna be extra poopy in 2023. Cant wait!
  13. His master plan is not off to a great start... 1) Lure Mueller away from a successful team for a dumpster fire. 2) BLM will sign because he already bought a house in Regina. 3) Wave a magic wand and fix the O-Line. 4) Go the the receiver store and pick up a couple cheap, fast ones (the ability to catch is not a requirement).

And yet a significant majority of Canadians support so-called wedge issues (fought for by progressives for years) like abortion, gun control, wealth distribution/inequality, environmental protection, climate change mitigation and homelessness. I don't think you or I speak for all centrists or the left, so I don't think that a declaration of "not feasible" is accurate - especially when you consider that some unions have outright supported conservative candidates like Ford, Katz and Trump. Times and attitudes change and the centre/left parties need to be as pragmatic as the majority of their supporters.

It is possible (and sometimes justifiable) to criticize the Government of Israel without being anti-semetic.

Most Canadians don't understand what progressivism is. The centre is now progressive - environmental protection, worker's rights, wealth distribution, equal rights etc. These are not concepts that are extreme unless you are a member of the Conservative base.

I do like the idea of the Grits and Dippers working together to prevent the Tories (now run by their crazy fringe) from having any real power, but as Dave had mentioned, I'm not a fan of less choices to vote for (merging the NDP/LPC). I'd hate to become like the States where everyone is so polarized as one or the other that it becomes part of your DNA and you can never vote for anyone other than a certain party. Right now, the way things are with the NDP propping up the LPC in exchange for some progressive changes.... I'm a fan of that. Also, whatever it takes from letting PP be in charge. We're seeing in AB what that would be like....and I want no part of it.

I'll take a powerful centre/left coalition that keeps the Cons out of office for 20 years over the quasi multiple choice mirage that we have now. Or the centre is getting more progressive. (This is the correct answer) Wealth distribution is nothing beyond closing tax loopholes for the rich and ending corporate welfare in practical terms. It's not communism.

Once again I wish the CFL published salary info like other leagues. I suspect Rose may be a victim of a cap crunch but who really knows. Walters did talk about the need to balance the core with vets while injecting youth.

Which is why the solution is for the obvious break up of the conservatives is the preferred choice. Except Harper was far friendlier with Smith and the Wildrose party than he ever was with the PCs. But no if the NDP manage to win, God willing, I do expect the ucp to fracture.

You figured they would snap their fingers and it would immediately be created? These plans take time. Everyone wants these things, including the politicians, but it takes time. Baby steps.
  33. Not sure how much NFL people watch but Schoen would easily be the 4th best receiver on any NFL team and likely a 3rd/slot receiver on most. Teams need 6-7 receivers to get through a season and he'd be on a rookie scale deal with already solid pro experience. He's not a kid coming out of college now. He's got 20 games in as a pro which is like 3-4 years worth for a fringe NFL guy. Won't be surprised when he gets signed by the Chiefs or Bills. I'm sure the Chiefs are kicking themselves right now that they don't have him when they look at their current depth chart with Hardman down too. He'd probably be the X receiver on that team this week.

Not comparing them as players. Simply showing that the NFL doesn't wait for a certain time of year to look for new talent.

A significant majority of those who consider themselves right, or centre right, also agree with a lot of those same things. The devil is in the details though. I fully support gun control, I DO NOT support what Trudeau is doing with gun control. I fully support abortion, as do every CONS supporter I know, I fully support climate change mitigation...I do not believe a carbon tax is how we get there, I would love to see homelessness eradicated, I don't believe a super heated housing market and massive inflation as the solution. You are speaking in generalities, as if the right opposes all these things and the fact of the matter is that only the extreme right does. The vast majority of the right-centre right is in favor of all these things to some extent, the disagreement is mainly how we get there. It is boogeyman politics of the highest order to suggest that every CONS voter is an anti-abortionist, polluting, rich troglodyte....just as it is boogeyman politics to say that progressive agendas will lead to communism. Both are stupid exaggerations by those who can't see that Conservatism, Liberalism, and Progressivism all have a place on our political spectrum.

It just seems like hockey there is background noise so tourists and the occasional local can have a good time under one roof. The one actual fan legitimately wearing his team's jersey is telling people to be quiet with their party conversations, he's trying to watch a hockey game.
  42. Idk we've been pretty good drafting receivers lately. Sure he's a known commodity, but if we can find more rookies to replace outgoing receivers like Schoen, why pay a premium when we can pay less on a hungry rookie?
  43. 2 points
Yep I expect both are done. That’s not how we do the secondary in the mafia era. Ba Houston nichols Parker Lawrence Darby with the strong possibility of ford and Kramdi rotating in a starting spot with Rene backing them up and the hallets backing up ba. Maston rose and Taylor are all well past their best before date. Mastons healthy is a major issue and Taylor is always hurt plus among the oldest dbs in the league. 7 years and 64 games he’s averaging 9 games a year for his career at 35 before next season begins. I love Maston it sucks his career has been derailed by injuries. And we wouldn’t have won with out rose. Taylor is an insane athlete and the fact he’s played soo late in his career as a db and as a basketball player is extraordinary. If those guys wanna come back with no signing bonus no guaranteed cash 1 year vet min camp type deals to win a spot that’d be fine but mos will ride with guys like them till they got nothing left and then ride em some more.

America is headed for where it has always headed with occasional pauses for sanity- a fascist theocracy. Before you scoff, it may be well to remember that only about 20-25% of the American colonists wanted to separate from England, but were so militant that the 75-80% who were not sure were intimidated or converted to the cause.
