Simple question. Would make us 1-4, and, the fact that it would be a home game would add some fuel to a fire.

This isn't meant to be a debate on SHOULD he be fired, simply the question would it get him fired. To give some context to the question, let's say the score was... 44-10 Calgary. Just as a random score.

They'll probably want to look at the film first before deciding to can O'Shea if there's a blow out.

0-3 at home, 1-4 on the season, I'll say yeah. IF it's a blow out like the last time we played Calgary.

im gonna say a big ol nope. regardless of "garbage" time theres argument that can be made that all our games finished relatively close. obviously not good enough but I dont think anyone expected us to come out of the gate with a ton of wins,  so even with a loss thursday night mos will survive

Willy is due for a season ending injury... then OSh will have another four games to survive with Nichols.

Then I think Richie Hall becomes our new HC.

I don't think they would.  Maybe at the bye if they are 1-7 but even then, I'm not sure they would pull the trigger.

However I doubt we see a blowout, I predict a close loss.

Walters had more than enough reason to can O'Shea by the end of last season and didn't. This season so far is as bad as last so we have little reason to believe there will be changes.  O'Shea will have to beat a nun to death at center field during a game while eating kittens to get fired.

He's on the final year of his contract, they could can him tomorrow and I wouldn't be surprised, but they won't.

Thinking he is safe until the 10th game of the season.

Wade likely has secretly signed MOS and Walters to extensions for next season.

Really?  We didn't have our 1st string QB for a good part of last season, and we only had Nichols for eight games.  Going to pin the whole year on O'Shea?  Think logically for a second.  Who's responsible for finding the talent?  Here's a hint, it's not O'Shea.  So I really don't think Walters could, in good conscience, fire O'Shea at the end of last season.  We get that you don't like him, but do we really need a "I hate O'Shea and I want him gone" post in every thread?  We get it, you're not going to be inviting him over for a barbecue anytime soon.

This has nothing to do with loving or hating O'Shea the person- it has to do with the way he manages the team and that includes his assessment of talent and even his not knowing what he can challenge, and usage of timeouts in the last game. I respect and like many clergy I have met but would want none of them as a coach. O'Shea was one of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game but his record is his record.

If he is canned it will be either during the bye week or at the end of the season regardless of his record. They will not disrupt the team with a firing with only 3 or 4 days between games. That would be suicide!

We would do things by the book.....MOS might get his slip, when we are officially eliminated from playoffs, otherwise ...the end of season.

This could make for an entertaining half-time show.

If they get blown out AND lose again next game he'll probably get axed. They have to say he's not going anywhere to the media, all teams would do that, but if they drop to 1-5 or 1-6 the crowds are going to dwindle to the point where there won't be much choice but to make the change.
