Sometimes teams think they know how to fix players. Hopefully someone sees Pavs and thinks it's the jets that are hurting him and not the other way around

I have never heard him say, "I should have been better or I need to be better", never.

I thought it was better to keep him around in case Helle ran into trouble but I'd rather have Hutch as the backup and Pavs gone.

3.9m is a lot to pay for someone that gives you the goaltending that he does. We can get that from Hutch. Trade him for Hiller now!

Again if Pavelec is here next year and yes i know he is signed he will be the starting goalie because of salary only and we will be in the bottom 5 again.

I think pav is done here. I don't expect him back next year. I think they buy him out If nobody wants him 

What's the point of buying out one year 

It would cost 3.17m to buy him out.

Not really. It still costs you money. Don't think the jets are in the business of burning money. 

I would think another team would offer a late draft pick for some veteran insurance at goalie....

A team like MTL might think they can still get in the playoffs withsome like Ladd.

There is no purpose trading for Hiller...  let Pav play the season, maybe someone wants him in on draft day or at trade deadline next year

It would cost about 62,500.00 more this year and 3.9m less on cap hit and 4.75m actual salary next year.

I meant buying him out. Trading for hillier who is a UFA makes sense

What it costs to buy him out is irrelevant. The jets aren't a cap team and won't be for a few years still. Listen to Dreger. Jets aren't a cap team. 

 

Buying out Pav is good because it gets him off the team 

 

Nobody will trade for him cuz he sucks.
