The back-up to Kohlert (#88 Davis) is also new to the roster this week.

I think they want to give Davis a chance to show what he can do with the the starters.

Considering all the uncertainty for next year, these moves are all about rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, to use a cliche. I'm going to watch the game anyways, just to see if any of the inserts show promise.
