  • No, Glenn can throw the football better than you & me. The guy is a pro qb. He's he's the best qb the Als could find & certainly better than Crompton, Marsh & Cato. He was the best qb the

Glenn has been relatively awful since he returned from injury.

How does anyone here have any real indication of the size of Glenn's hands let alone anything related to his anatomy?

Sorry, that was a nasty nate gem, I couldn't resist.

Nate always contended that the reason Glenn couldn't play in cold weather was because his hands were too small to grip the football when they got cold.

I have no idea if it's fact or not but based on past performance, one could make the argument.

The amount of Glenn detractors out there always surprises me. The closest we have come to replacing Glenn since he left is Willy, and Drew has yet to prove to me that he is even "as good" as Glenn was in his prime, never mind better.

Willy is already better than Glenn ever was and that's including 2007.

lol, no Willy still has to show a little bit more to be as good as a prime Glenn from 2005 - 2012.

Why are we even discussing that dipshit Nate? Go on Riderfans to see what he thinks of the Bombers & Winnipeg in general.

So after watching last nights debacle anyone still want to rush to Nichols defence? Yeah there were more problems than just him but he was pretty crap all on his own.

So after watching the Montreal debacle does anyone still want to rush to Glenn's defense? Yeah there were more problems than just him but he was pretty crap all on his own.

It was a first game after two practices. Lets wait until next game to pass judgement.

I seem to recall Glenn saying that it would only take him a day or to to learn a new playbook.  Seems he might have been a little off in his estimate.  I'd agree with you except for the fact that Glenn looked a lot like this during his time with Saskatchewan.  He's well past his best before date and it really shows, practices not withstanding.

Glenns stats would have looked a lot better if his receivers had caught the ball they way they usually do. Probably wouldn't have changed the outcome though because Hamilton is a way better team than Montreal this year.

The Mtl. O-line did Glenn no favours either, giving him very little time to get rid of the ball.  Either the Ti-Cats pass rush is unstoppable or the Mtl. O-line has declined big time from the days of Calvillo.

Well Nichols couldn't play after just joining a new team, Glenn could, still coming up Glenn.

I don't know - he wasn't terrible but really, two days of practice and he starts. QBing must really be an issue in Montreal. Is Crompton hurt again? May have missed some stuff as only concentrating on bombers and eskie news right now.

Montreal put him on the 6 game list on Sept 30th.

Yes, because the circumstances between Winnipeg and Montreal were exactly the same, right?  And in any case, a loss is a loss is a loss, so the fact that they rushed Glenn out there lead to exactly the same result as us not rushing Nichols into action.  Dang that relentless logic.  Always getting in the way.

Exactly lol. He looked horrible cuz he had minimal reps with offense. Just like nichols woulda with minimal reps. If we did throw him into the breech, the same complainers would say we set him up to fail or hes obviously garbage, etc etc.. There is no winning with some posters here..

No, the point I'm making was that there was some suggestion that because Glenn was sent in with minimal reps, that that somehow makes him better/superior than Nichols.  But clearly, when looking at the results, it neither supports nor refutes the argument.
