Posted September 30, 20159 yr comment_157378 @PentonKirk: The #Bombers are out of the Henoc Muamba sweepstakes, according to a source. #CFL @garylawless: Hearing Henoc Muamba is close to signing with CFL team. Deal is north of 500 k for remainder of this season plus two more. Told #bombers out
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157379 Oh well, he would have helped our defense, but it is the offense that needs the most help.....o line, receivers, running backs....
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157382 Wait, he is getting 500k this year, then 2 more years at what? I would guess in the 300k range? Wow, congrats to Henoc, not bad at all.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157383 Should that not be 500k on a 3 year contract this one included.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157384 Yeah I think that's right. 500k for 3 years. Which would be lower than the 250k per year floated out earlier. Much lower, disappointed we wouldn't offer him that much if accurate.
September 30, 20159 yr Author comment_157385 That's $500k over 2.3 seasons guys. Like $225k per season.
September 30, 20159 yr Author comment_157386 Likely with Edmonton. Imagine if he plays this week against Bombers at IGF!!
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157387 Lawless: 100k signing bonus 10k per game this year 200k 2016 200k 2017
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157388 100k bonus & 10k per game this year according to lawless. 200k each of the next 2 seasons.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157389 He should have tried the NFL again this off season. That deal basically kisses that dream good bye. Not a lot of 28 year old special teamers finding NFL work. Oh well.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157390 Lawless: 100k signing bonus 10k per game this year 200k 2016 200k 2017 Shame we wouldn't match. Oh well. No hard feelings, Henoc.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157391 If this contract is true he finally got the message that he's not good enough for the NFL take what you can in the cFL.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157392 Lawless mentioned something during H&L this pm about a couple tweets from Cauchy showing up and then being deleted. Tweets were at henoc and a third brother, but never saw them first hand. Could indicate a reunion in Edmonton
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157393 Big mistake by the Bombers. When you have a chance to sign an outstanding Canadian starter, you do it. @ 200k a year, it's worth it. This will come back to haunt us. I guess my question is, are the Bombers out because they don't want to spend the money on him, or does Muamba just not want to come back?
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157396 It is a shame he can't tour a little longer just to watch bitter, sad, people have their head explode.

I think that's a little bit of both, but more so the situation the Bombers are in this year probably played a big factor.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157400 Interesting. Good for him. Sucks for us, but I was resigned to it. My guess is Edmonton. Seems too obvious.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157404 I actually think he's going to end up playing with both brothers. I bet whoever signs him signs his brother Kelvin too. It'll be Edmonton, more than likely.
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157407 Yeah. I think playing with his brothers were a big factor here. Oh well. It sucks but... oh well. Our real problem is our O
September 30, 20159 yr comment_157408 Haven't heard anything here but tbh been more worried about the Oilers. Once Henoc is up to speed J.C. Sherrit could be moved out Dexter McCoils' spot (he'll be going to NFL next year)- you're not paying this guy 200k to be a special teamer - and at MLB he too is a ratio buster. Will be nice to see him playing at Commonwealth but I've said it all along - Sam Hurl is turning into a very solid MLB and he's getting better every day. Plus - he doesn't have NFL aspirations so no dreams are 'lost' there. I don't think Henoc will be as affective a player as he was before he went to the NFL. Luckily for him with Edmonton's defense he doesn't have to be all world like he would have to in Winnipeg - he just needs to be a solid player and the rest will take care of itself. Smart choice by him
