Corey Mace may be the most injury prone player in the CFL but he was a difference maker when he played. We were impatient and missed out on his potential. Fringe players and even rotational players in the NFL don't last particularly long. As of right now we have a guy in Mulumba who in terms of skill is a Westerman who we don't need to outbid other teams for when he becomes available. Greenwood was basically a luxury pick because they already took Eppelle A team that could just get crazy deep from NFL castoffs is Calgary...

Id love to see them in pro bowl games making headlines. It makes the canadian pipe line soo much better and brings much better talent to the league. Just look at how drastic the NI pool has improved in the last 10 years.

The trouble is that our draft this year was eerily similar to a Mack draft... a bit more conservative but some real similarities in consistently going off the board - passing on Waud, Durant Still seems like we pick guys for our current coaching staff and not BPA... At least we couldn't miss with an OL pick this season I'm a fan of picks like Coombs or Edem but those guys were BPA at their position - Richards and Morgan were not

Quinn Smith - he started for Calgary this week... usually he's stuck on the depth chart behind Mace They're nothing special because those are Calgary's second picks in the draft... of course, they're mostly ST - just like Briggs, Robertson, Richards Their first picks for the last three years are Craighead, Lavertu, Lavoie - all those guys would be starting for the bombers right now Calgary's 3rd picks are Jones, Caron (Tardif at 4th), Varga (Campbell 4th)

The Baltimore Ravens on Saturday released Canadian defensive tackle Christo Bilukidi, who is Bombers property because then general manager Joe Mack drafted him in the third round, 21st overall, of the 2012 draft. Bilukidi, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound Ottawa native, was a sixth round draft pick of the Oakland Raiders in 2012. He played 18 games as a backup for the Raiders before getting released two months into the season. He joined the Cincinnati Bengals and played two games. The Bengals released Bilukidi just before their first game of last season, but the Ravens inked him to a contract using the roster space vacated by Ray Rice. He appeared in four games for Baltimore last fall. All told, Bilukidi has appeared in 24 NFL games and has notched 16 tackles, a sack and a defended pass attempt. Bilukidi will have to clear NFL waivers on Sunday before becoming a free agent.
