May 8, 201510 yr comment_118451 I have to feel for Max- a decent person who got caught up in the macho NFL mythos about ``pushing through the pain``and instead of practicing self-care, tried to be superhuman only to pay a very heavy price. He was fortunate to have what many in his situation do not-people to stand with him, I hope he is getting ongoing support from the NFL as he was disabled while a player.
