Posted March 2, 201510 yr comment_110526 While chalk full of venom and ire, thought the points were accurate and on point.. http://blogskeeweewee.blogspot.ca/2015/02/a-condemnation-of-rider-nation.html?m=1 The comments were entertaining as well
March 2, 201510 yr comment_110527 The next few years will be interesting in Saskatchewan. They haven't positioned themselves very well.
March 2, 201510 yr comment_110529 Read that almost immediately after he posted it. The comment section must be spammed with 7000 posts of Rider porn by now.  17to85 will have printed it off and used it to wallpaper his house this weekend.
March 2, 201510 yr comment_110530 Not really any new thoughts in there. People have been saying this years. Â He and "anonymous" really wrap themselves in glory in the comments section...

First thing I thought when I read it was "excellent disguise 17to85... This should fool everyone!"
March 2, 201510 yr Author comment_110535 The next few years will be interesting in Saskatchewan. They haven't positioned themselves very well. Nope they sure haven't and it will be interesting to see how loyal and rabid these fans are when the dark times come back..
March 2, 201510 yr comment_110538 Spot on. I remember my first LDC in 2001.... the Rider fans would always have this "lovable loser" mentality to them... "we just hope our home side can give you guys a good game."  It was cute. It was homey. It was a false sense of security, especially in 2003 when we lost and felt the wrath of the Rider fans, after the home side won a game they had no business winning.  Nowadays, you go to the Vaj, and it's not about how good the Riders are, it's about how great SASKATCHEWAN is. The economy that Canada forgot since confederation is now its powerhouse. Rider fans make the CFL tick because of how they support everywhere. They're the Pittsburgh Steelers of the CFL awash in green beer.     Oil isn't what it used to be. Taman's decisions have started to erode the draft and develop and CanCon that made the Riders strong for so many years. Durant is getting older.  The telling thing will be how the loud, proud screams of Rider Nation (or more on point, Saskatchewan Priders) persevere over the next 2-3 years. Will they stay loud, or will they muffle out along with the strength of oil, and the Priders retreat back to the safety of the "lovable loser" role.
March 2, 201510 yr comment_110548 Can't wait for that team to implode and the bandwagon to empty out. Started in 2003 and only got worse. Team stopped sucking the hind *** and all of a sudden people who know nothing about football are HUGE rider fans. Just insufferable.Â
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110597 The Riders actually called themselves "Canada's Team"? They deserve all the **** they get.
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110598 Should be noted the blogger bailed a couple of years ago when HAM couldnt get over the first round hump and claimed he was dispirited and tired of losing only to come back when things are more rosey .....just sayin.
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110600 Yeah but he nailed it Zontar. We don't hate Rider fans. We hate the Priders because truthfully they are @$$..... & p....s. And then you have the  Riders calling themselves Canada's Team & putting up billboards in other CFL cities. They can go **** themselves.Â
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110607 Preaching to the choir here. Cant wait until rider fortunes level off, and they will, and their sense of entitlement going with it. Â But if you're going to lecture another on fandom one has the obligation to have his own fandom withstand scrutiny - his does not.

March 3, 201510 yr comment_110629 Â part of it is TSN looking for compelling story lines and narratives. a big part of it is TSN. They started blowing smoke up the asses of the die hard rider fans when the team started to turn around, and you know what, I got a lot of respect for those die hards who were there through the hard times. The problem was everyone in that god forsaken province started to believe the hype and suddenly EVERYONE was a die hard Rider fan who was there through thick and thin and they really ARE the greatest fans in the world. Just not so, the attendance numbers clearly show the number of real die hards was much much lower, just a lot of really annoying bandwagon jumpers.Â
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110662 Arguably the most embarrassing moment in CFL history was "Rider Nation" winning the Commisioner's Award in 2010.
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110663 I found it hilarious today that a few Riderfans were crying about the Stamps ability to sign BLM to a contract. Whining about the SMS....what an about face they pull when a team not named the Riders appears to be pushing the SMS limits.
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110665 The Riders, their fans and the community are among the most egotistical in sports. Really, they're the Leafs of the CFL. By in large, completely unsuccessful. Universally despised by virtually every other fanbase.  Crap like this pisses me off....and I get it shouldn't, 'cuz who really cares, but seriously, what the hell do Riders and football have to do with a hockey game in AZ?!?!  God I hope Yotes fans boo the hell outta them!  http://www.riderville.com/calendar/show/id/1019
March 3, 201510 yr comment_110667 I will say Rider fans win the award for wearing rider gear in the most inappropriate situations.Â

March 3, 201510 yr comment_110677  I will say Rider fans win the award for wearing rider gear in the most inappropriate situations. What are some examples? I'm looking to be entertained. All events where they might be on TV. Hockey games and curling bonspiels (Brier, Scotties, etc...) It's really sickening.  Has anyone mentioned the Arizona Coyotes "Rider Nation" night that they're doing? Getting all those jagoffs to fly down and try to pack their arena with Rider gear. Disgusting.

March 3, 201510 yr comment_110694 Same thing happened at the men's curling worlds a few years ago. Made Stoughton wear green jackets. Loved the whole team dumped them immediately after the intros.

What they have to do with each other is the Getzlaf brothers.Â
