February 2, 201510 yr comment_105822 Congrats on what will be a big payday for Matthews. Even if he fades after this (unlikely), if he's smart, he'll make enough money to set him up right. And sadly we'll never see him in the CFL again. Good for him! Had a great 2012 season with us in what was an otherwise forgettable year.
February 2, 201510 yr Author comment_105825 Great game by Matthews, man I hate Brady  . Stupid call on the final drive by Seattle, looks like something we tried with Lapolice a few years back ...
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105826 That was a mike Kelly level of fail...o Try to be to cute and smart and it lost them the game. As if Lynch wouldn't of ran it in on two attempts
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105830 @garylawless: Chris Matthews signed a two-year deal - will make 500 k next season
February 2, 201510 yr Author comment_105833 @garylawless: Chris Matthews signed a two-year deal - will make 500 k next season Good for him ... bad for us ...
February 2, 201510 yr Author comment_105834 Reminds me of Bellefeuille play calling. Ya, we saw that this year as well
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105835 @garylawless: Chris Matthews signed a two-year deal - will make 500 k next seasonGood for him ... bad for us ... I think the point is it's bad for him. He can't cash in on his Super Bowl performance because he's already locked in for next year at league minimum.
February 2, 201510 yr Author comment_105836 For some reason this reminds me of what the Seattle OC might be saying ... Â
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105846 Â Â @garylawless: Chris Matthews signed a two-year deal - will make 500 k next seasonGood for him ... bad for us ... I think the point is it's bad for him. February 2, 201510 yr comment_105848 He never really got a shot at receiver all year. Â Super bowl was really the first game they played him on offence. Â Got to think going into next year he will be given the opportunity to start next year, and if he shows well, he will be able to parlay that into a big pay cheque. Â
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105852 I wonder if Hawks OC Darrell Bevell will be shown the door? Pete Carroll did his best to cover up for him in the post game interview but it didn't sound too convincing. Someone has to wear the horns for losing like that. I think Bevell gets fired.Â
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105892 I see the irony in the ending of the game. Bigmouth Lynch could have been the hero but wasn't. I can imagine how his ego is suffering.
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105904 i'll admit, I was surprised to hear Matthew's name last night. Â Had no idea he had been activated. Â Great news for him - and it is good for the CFL too. Â Seeing guys come up here to "kickstart" their career again is always good.Â
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105920 Signed a 2 year contract for 500k.....Is that All?.......he could make that much as a night watchman.....he heee.
February 2, 201510 yr comment_105931 Enjoyed see Matthews have a big game, good guy and deserves a real shot to show what he can do, was somewhat pissed about NBC not mentioning him being the CFL rookie of the year, they were talking like they just scouted him at a foot locker or something when in reality, he was playing in the CFL. He might have been working at foot locker in the off season but no doubt the seahawks were aware of him due to his CFL time. They finally mentioned it tho, probably due to Twitter and everybody on there pretty much mentioning Matthews played in the CFL.  Was cool to See Matthews vs Browner (another former CFL player) matched up later in the game too.Â

February 2, 201510 yr comment_105937 Yeah they did but for the longest time, they were just going on and on about the foot locker thing, finally mentioned it a couple times yes but... i'd suspect it was mainly due to the people on twitter letting them know that. It almost seemed like they were told not to mention he played in the CFL actually.. but yes they did mention it a few times later on after going on and on and on about foot locker for a guy quarter or so.Â

February 2, 201510 yr comment_105948 Matthews got himself noticed by a lot of people last night. He should have every shot next season at working himself into the regular lineup.Â
