June 28, 201411 yr comment_61515 How are people not enjoying this game? Watching Troy Smith bumble his way around a football field is pure comedy.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61516 I hope the B.C. Edmonton game is more entertaining - at this rate I'll be switching to Uruguay/ Columbia soon

June 28, 201411 yr Author comment_61520 It seems like Smith is throwing at receivers who are standing still, he's not hitting guys in motion.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61522 I wouldn't even call that a horsecollar tackle. The things the refs consider horsecollar in this league are pretty questionable.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61524 Pretty boring dull game. Not much happening at all. Smith looks horrible but BLM don't look much better.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61525 Als should just run All Go every down and hope they hit 1 or 2 of them.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61527 Shutout in the first half with a 15 yard penalty on the 2nd half kickoff. Doesn't get much worse.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61528 I wouldn't even call that a horsecollar tackle. The things the refs consider horsecollar in this league are pretty questionable. According to the rules it was the proper call. Tackling an opponent by grabbing the inside collar of the side or back of the shoulder pads, or jersey
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61529 Laughed at Rod mentioning how Fuller was kept around by Calgary, um he came up late in the season. Shouldn't a PBP guy have a clue?

June 28, 201411 yr comment_61535 Troy Smith with numbers at halftime that Justin Goltz would be jealous of: 8/16 48 yards, 1 interception.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61537 ESPN so far has talked about Dwayne Wade and now World Cup... no one wants to mentioned CFL on air in case they get assigned to it permanently...
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61539 Troy Smith making Calgary D the right pick in CFL Fantasy... yes it is. Dummy me took Toronto
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61541 Troy Smith making Calgary D the right pick in CFL Fantasy... yes it is. Dummy me took Toronto Could be worse, I gambled on Curtis Steele chewing up yards against Etch... ha
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61544 I want to see Troy Smith finish this game with less than 100 yards passing.
June 28, 201411 yr comment_61547 Neither of these teams have looked very good at all. Troy Smith has been especially bad, but you'd think a team as good as Calgary would step on the throat of a team as bad as Montreal.

The wording of the NFL rule is pretty much the same as the CFL rule except it's more long winded. Horse-Collar Tackle. No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey pads or jersey, and pull the runner toward the ground. This does not apply to a runner who is in the tackle box or to a quarterback who is in the pocket. Note: It is not necessary for a player to pull the runner completely to the ground in order for the act to be illegal. If his knees are buckled by the action, it is a foul, even if the runner is not pulled completely to the ground.

That may be true, but the way it is enforced is quite different just based on observations. Probably due to inferior officiating.
