Owner Bob Wetenhall has asked General Manager Jim Popp to assume the head-coaching role in addition to his other responsibilities. "Jim is the person most responsible for the success we have had over all these years," explained Wetenhall. "I feel confident that he is the best person to coach our team at this time and I am very appreciative of him being willing to make this additional contribution to our franchise. If they gas the OC too then Berry may get the OC or ass't HC title. Als just got better.

Now the Als should be at least a .500 club, making the TiCats the only team we can realistically catch. Lucky EDM is so lame otherwise we'd have the cross-over to worry about, too.
