I liked the idea of it as a detective show set in the batman universe but pre batman era. Really liked donal logue, and the dynamic between he and gordon. It pushed further and further into gordon being batman light though. And really lost me there.

Critics slammed them hard for making it too much of a procedural, but I didn't mind it. Saying that, I still really love the non-procedural version that they are now. Penguin and Riddler are just incredibly well acted. Big fan of both Logue and Ryan Atwood....
