I've never really been a gamer, aside from retro stuff.... we'll occaisionally pull out the Wii or N64, but that's about it.

Even then, the controllers are way too complicated for this 43 year old man. I could handle my Genesis for NHL 97 just fine....now....there's way too many buttons/joysticks going on. You know what game got me closest to buying one? The new Bassmaster video game where you can play as Jeff "Gussy" Gustafson (from Kenora) on the pro bass fishing tour. Ha ha. That's more my style...

Don't sell yourself short. I agree it looks daunting, but if you give it a shot with a bit of patience- it will eventually be second nature. Age has nothing to do with it- there are a nice selection of quality of life and accessibly settings that can make a game more friendly to someone just playing for the story. You can literally customize the different areas of difficulty. I'm 48 and have no problems with the controllers- granted, with every new game the controller map out changes and it takes some time to get used to. Also, the jump from wii or n64 controller to PS5 or Xbox controller is not that huge. If you haven’t checked out Line of Duty on Netflix, Slow Horses and The Capture on Apple, you should. I really enjoyed them.

That was a lot of fun but not really sustainable. I would watch Star Trek: The Next Next Generation, without Raffi. I did not enjoy that character.
