According to Dan Ralph, Kevin Glenn officially requested a trade from Ottawa recently.

 

I'm expecting Winnipeg will be in on talks, but who knows how far they'll go. If I'm them, I'm offering Max Hall. Or Cauchy. Or both. Whatever. Take a pick too if you want.

I appreciate Max Hall for steadying our offence somewhat last year... but it was clear to me watching him, that he lacks both arm strength and quick release.  If Ottawa thinks he has potential, have at him.  Myself, I think he's a high-floor, low-ceiling guy, and therefore not starter material now or down the road.  And take Cauchy too.  We're deep enough at NI DB, and Cauchy didn't beat any worlds last year.

In the West, only Sask. will not open that envelope.

I'd be mildly surprised if we're still in the running after BC takes a look.

You're right, we don't think terribly much of him.  This is the man that hamstrung both of this franchises with QB albatross contracts. 

 

But if I'm trading an NI, it's going to be a DB before Jake Thomas.  Need the depth NI DL, and can spare it at safety.

Cauchy and Hall for Glenn would work for both clubs.

 

Desjardins has to get rid of him and he gets a CFL QB and a NI in return. 

 

Glenn will win us at least 3-4 more games than just throwing Willy to the wolves. If Willy shows promise we can cut Glenn in the offseason. 

I hate KG and never want to see him in Winnipeg ever again.  He'll just revert back to ***** he is when the temp drops.  KG is afraid of the COLD!  Therefore he's useless in WPG.

That's exactly what I'm worrying about as well. I have no problems with us bringing Glenn in, but Drew Willy needs to be our starting QB this year.

Eh, not sure I want him.  He'd be a really good backup, but I'm concerned they'll want to start him, either right away or if/when Willy struggles.  And then we start the QB carousel all over again...

Desjardins can drag this longer if he wants. No team is rushing to trade for him. Bombers maybe in need of Glenn but we are not desperate to make the deal asap.

Most people think he's an idiot for paying ONE MILLION dollars for Burris.   

 

I think Cauchy + draft pick would be a very good offer for Glenn.   I only can see BC really stepping up to making a offer for him.     

If Glenn comes in as the backup I'm on board. Similar to the Tate/Glenn situation in Calgary and that worked.

Glenn re-uniting with Khari makes sense. Doubt Wally will want him though. 

I'm not sure how big of a offer BC would make.  They might feel it out, but my take is that they're prepared to run with their own guys now, and wouldn't give up valuable assets to get someone like Glenn.

I can't imagine why anyone would want Glenn back in here again, move on people.
