I read that twice before I didn't see "socks and gotch".

  • A few players underperformed...so did some on winning teams that beat us too...that's not an excuse Unferperforming players generally are a direct line to being poorly coached in a game and faili

  • I'm so old socks and underwear are all I really want for Christmas...

My ideal news would be Mc Ewen, Oakman and BOLO.....at least think all three are still available....On reasonable contracts, none of them are worth an overpay for...but I always want to add to both the O-line and D-line

O-line Mc Ewen is really good, probably a bit pricey but.....I believe he would upgrade our line

Oakman...yes partially blinded by his size and athletic ability...but I can picture Vaughters, Willy and Oakman on at the same time, Willy and Oakman both have insane athletic talents...I could see them dominating id Oakman is invested..and he shouldn't be too high of a salary

BOLO...I think he fits well here a rotational piece with experience to compliment Celercius, and fill in when Demski is knicked....

And the dominos start to fall...Bombers have signed Long snapper Mike Benson!

Benson’s agent takes advantage of additional cap space.
First CFL longsnapper to sign for over $250000. Haha.

Laroux. He's supposed to be a damn good snapper.

The site for team, which is probably run on an angelfire domain, will likely list his role as DL coach, wr coach, trainer, bus driver, and half time hot dog sales associate. All for 8 bucks a game.

Kind of amusing. Bombers 1st team to announce a signing that was reported a week ago. Cobb 14 minutes in then the Sask receiver moments later yet nothing out of Hamilton or Edmonton yet lol. I’d laugh if a few deals fell through.

id like McKewen also but prob take a bundle to get the Calgary kid out of Calgary. Would like to see a OL signing tho. McKewen is the big one but there’s a couple others who might fit the bill.

JAG =Just A Guy

Oakman gets $8 a game? That's like 4 times what most coaches there make.

Blue chipper. Don't tell the guy who cuts players, grinds the meat for hotdogs, does social media and film work for the AFL team. He pretty much gets paid in hot dog casings.

Won't take a bundle, if Calgary doesn't resign him.  You're saying it's Stamps or retirement.

I’m kind of excited about guys like Sterns and Logan. I thought Logan was the Stamps most electrifying player, and Sterns put up good numbers when he was in the line up. We had a washed up Lucky trying to play that role last season. Kind of excited what we can do with those two guys. It’s going to be a bigger opportunity for touches after losing Lawler so someone has the chance to step up.

Me too. Especially with no more buck. I have a lot of optimism for what we could do on O this year.

I actually like the back filling strategy. While every one else is racing to pay the top FAs elite money, even if they aren't elite at their position, we are scooping the best guys to be the last imp wr etc. I think the pass catchers we got have a tremendous opportunity to have career years with us.

I do wish we had done more on the DL, and OL. But the off season isn't over yet.

to upgrade...sometime us gotta pay...A CDN core of McEwan..Neuf...Eli...Wallace looks good to me...Cut outright or cut and PR Kolo after TC after it over if no injuries and his 100k plus is off the books...do we even know what he's sucking outta the SMS??

Not to overly defend him, but Lucky was injured last year and played through it......his main skill is his quickness and speed, and his injury severely hampered that last year.....in saying that I am also excited to see what Logan can do....

Walters finished up the paperwork and shut off the lights, may not hear from him again all week.  He's made all the signings last week official.

1:00 p.m. EST — After lighting up the legal tampering window by agreeing to terms with a boatload of high-profile free agents, the Edmonton Elks won’t be announcing the majority of their moves today, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji. Players like Jake Ceresna, Robbie Smith, Tyrell Ford, and David Beard are being flown in for medicals on Wednesday morning before anything is announced. While no issues are expected, general manager Ed Hervey is a stickler for the details.

So we shouldn't hear much out of Edm. for a few days.....and well that's most of the big name FA's.......lol
