Fun to sit and watch practice today... Been about 20 years since I was last able. With respect to the late great Randy Turner, the king of Odds and Sods writing.... here's some thoughts: -Al

  • Just to speak to Wolitarsky’s character and just what a good dude he is … few years back, some friends and I went to go see him play at Earl’s on Main and we ended up chatting with him and Streveler …

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

Riders grab Tyrique McGhee. He kicked around here for 2 years and didn’t show much kinda glad he’s out of the way for the new batch of guys going into 2025.

Add him to the growing list of ex-Bombers signings:

Rutledge with Toronto

Demetries Ford with Edmonton

Jeremy Murphy with Ottawa

Barrington Wade with Montreal

Tre Thomas with Montreal

Some guys sometimes fit better with other teams. Just cuz McGhee wasn’t great or even good here doesn’t mean he doesn’t turn it around in Sask. it’s unlikely because he is what he is but nice to see guys getting chances. It also says the pool of talent willing to come up here isn’t as large as we all think it is.

Very true. I do think that his struggle to fit under halls system then JYs is a bigger concern. He got two long hard looks under different systems, and some of the best defensive and db coaching you can find.
I get why they’d want to take a look at him. Year on an nfl pr, 2 nfl camps, 2 cfl camps and two years on our pr as one of the best defensive back ends.

Bombers signed linebacker Marvin Pierre. He spent last season's training camp with the TiCats.

Makes a lot of sense. He’s already gone through a camp and sat on a pr so he should be well poised for camp in 25. Massive potential, dynamic athlete who cut his teeth in college as a teams guy.
All those transfers look like a red flag. As do being cut before nfl camp and then cut quickly after one pre season game down there. Fits our wil mold to a T. Athletic tweener who should thrive on the big field.

“At pro day, he measured 6-foot-1 1/2 and 222 pounds and demonstrated excellent athleticism with a 4.57 in the 40-yard dash and 40.5-inch vertical leap. That equated to a Relative Athletic Score of 9.08.

Seems to shed blockers well, but more quick than fast.

I wish we had kept the field intact from canad inns and Osborne stadium. Such a great link to the past and opportunity to boost grass level infrastructure.

Wasnt sure what to expect from this article for us, but he nailed it. When the cfl media types are onto the fact that we’ve been running out guys who are toast, you know it’s bad.

Bighill was obvious tho. Thomas needs to go also and no mention.

Trying to figure where Osborne Stadium was located from the picture below, was it across Osborne St. where the GW Life building is now located or was it up towards The Bay?

Osborne stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba... - Old Canada Series ...

Where the GWL building is. Across the street from the Legislative Building on the west side of Osborne St.

Is 3DN "bang on" or are they just agreeing with the mob here? I sincerely don't know the answer.

You think any of the writers from 3dn read this board? I really don't see it. Especially Abbott.

Hodge is on here for sure... You just know him better as Mike :)

But what I'm saying is that people FEEL like 3DN is "bang on" because it's saying what the angry mob wants to hear.
