Seems they've run out of ways to try and bugger us up....What a load of nonsense...like someone said, IF he can't be reached get a hold of Miller, O'Shea or Walters....AND because they didn't this suspension should be null and void....Zack would be the last player in the league trying to avoid testing...   One game suspension.......nonsensical and waaaaay over the top

The CFL league office should be the ones drug-tested.

Really easy to always say that there's some mystical coach out there that would be a better fit.  We've been through generations as CFL fans watching teams including our own who keep believing that.

The suspension will force a different usage in our preseason games and the implementation of our new playbook. They are going to have to get Strevy a lot more reps with team 1 in practice and in the preseason, and the rest of the QBs less preseason snaps, as well as having our starters play more of the games. Strevy will have to be ready to go with our starters and our system in game 1 and Zach in game 2. Having a bye in week 1 is going to make this much easier, but it will still be much harder for the depth QBs and some other positions to get their snaps in.

We've got 5 QBs plus the extra arm in the CIS kid, and then Elgersma is likely here soon. I expected a cut when Elgersma gets here, it may even be 2 QBs cut early in TC this year.

Not for an entire game, they are limited to a snap count and they are also tied to a Designated National Player.  Sure other teams have found ways to abuse the rule but it's pretty obvious MOS as a member of the rules committee is not going to validate their interpretation.

You're talking about "Designated Nationalized Americans."  That's separate.  These Nationalized Americans are 1 of the 24 starters for the purposes of the ratio.  It's kind of perfect for a OL spot who plays every snap.  You'd have to have a Canadian backup though, but we usually do on OL anyways.

Bombers could start a Canadian at linebacker and use DNA on Kyrie Wilson who could then sub in for an American at any time or sub in for those designated Canadians for up to 23 snaps.  Or do the same with Jefferson...if subbed in for American doesn't count to the restriction but could sub in for Canadian spot up to 23 snaps in a game.

Patterson will be gone shortly I think. Elgersma signing with the pack.

I hope to see heavy usage of Streveler and Wilson in preseason with Zach taking reps only in the 2nd game.

Streveler getting more reps may turn out to be a blessing.

Packers expected to sign Elgersma.

Yeah looks like they are really high on him.
Best case scenario might be a full nfl camp and a mid to late season trip here. It’d be best for us if he’s in our camp next year, but a year of qb coaching and play against nfl athletes/competition is incredibly valuable. Especially at qb.

That’s what I figure too. If elgersma doesn’t come up this camp I think we will still be fast to move off qbs4 and down.

According to Osh ,they all ready.

All are already starters... But being day 1 of mini camp there isn't much to report. And all eyes were on Collaros and his situation so everything else was buried.

Was hoping to get there Friday but I'll definitely be there Monday. Weather looks incredible for the start of camp!

85+ starters? How can we be so blessed?

Rookie camp is boring tho cuz it’s just guys basically trying to learn the game all at once. The nuances of the cfl. The most important part about rookie camp is likely in the film room where we can’t be. As for Zach, he’s rightfully pissed. A pissed Zach is a good thing for us tho. He’s got a chip on his shoulder. That’s a good thing.

Saw clips of videos of rookie camp. 72 Daughtry the receiver looks legit.  Didn’t know they added a few undrafted Canucks either but they did.

If there’s one player—just one—in the entire Canadian Football League who absolutely screams 'poster boy for performance-enhancing drugs,' it’s got to be Zachary J. Collaros. I mean, the sheer physical dominance, the unstoppable power, the jaw-dropping speed... it’s almost too obvious, right?

Without the performance enhancing drugs he would've only thrown 2 INTs in the GC last year!

Where do you live?

North Winnipeg. I don’t want to go after working a 10 hour shift. Why. Honestly camp is boring. It honestly doesn’t excite me. Only time I really go is if i decide to pick up tickets or go to the bombers store but that’s more weekend so the school aged kid can come with.

So start two Canadians at Linebacker.

Zach suspended for the first game is perfect. Now his complete collapse at the end of the season will be delayed by one week! That means he'll dominate the Grey Cup and then crumble at the parade. He'll cut his thumb shotgunning beers, fumble the cup, fall off the back of the truck.

The silver lining of the suspension - is that it forces the club to put the other QBs into a game, which is vital for the future.

and actually allows Strev to take reps and ownership of the actual offence and schemes...mind you if he wasn't assured that he wouldn't have signed anyway....but this is a positive thing anyway you slice it
