No need for spin unless you are Buck. The fans agree with Brady.

  • All this stuff is just excuses... fact is they opted to play an injured player rather than give a healthy player the chance. They need to own that decision as a coaching staff.

  • The truth is that Bighill, Jake Thomas, Brandon Alexander and Kolankowski are blocking the developmental path for better, younger (and cheaper) players. But all this has been said ad nauseum.

i really don't care about other teams. I care about the Bombers. Am I supposed to be impressed by this? That Dinwiddie followed O'Shea's roster decisions by playing more Canadians than he could have? Not really. I didn't see a Canadian starter on the Argos even remotely close to the ineffectiveness of Jake Thomas. The Argos roster of Canadians were better than ours. It gave them flexibility. Our starting Canadians (in certain positions) hurt us.

Bombers 7 and 3 vs the west. 8 if you include the west final.

Als 6 and 2 vs division

Argos like everyone else except Sask who was 5 and 5 vs the division under 500 vs division.

bombers D best in the league  # 1 in points against by 40 points really. #2 Montreal gave up 40 more points  than Winnipeg

Bombers O sucked tho .we all should know that by now  but scored 1 less point than Montreal’s O did in the regular season

the 2 best teams were Montreal and Winnipeg tho in most categories

Pretty surprising to see how the East fared against the West in 2024: Tor 7-3-0, Mtl 6-3-1, Ott 6-3-1, Ham 3-7-0. Overall East was 22-16-2 against West. Head to head, Tor was 2-0 vs. Wpg, 2-0 vs. B.C., 1-1 vs the other three (including meaningless loss to Edm in wk 21).

Toronto had trouble with the non-playoff teams (0-3 vs Ham, 1-1 vs both Cal and Edm) but was 8-3 against playoff teams.

This is a case that illustrates stats don't tell the whole story, can't convince me the Bomber D was physically better than the Argos D, which could be due entirely to their superior D-line play.

Totally. The Argos D completely took over in the playoffs. How many turnovers did they create? How many TDs did they score? It was nuts

The past couple pages of this thread really showcase the revisionist history of a lost Grey Cup (which I understand people are still upset about...) but man... After the West Final, having lost, like, 1 of our last 12 or something (??), there was a real sense that we were dominant and going to crush whoever we played in the GC.

I never felt that way....was just more of a glossing over of the issues with some wins....but the issues were still there and ready to bite...and chomp chomp is exactly what happened...we were basically a team getting by with 1/3rd of the units (defence) being dominant...the other 2 were middling at best and severely out coached....but we slithered into the playoffs and grey cup...and the status quo was deemed good enough...and it wasn't....that was my take going into the last 3rd of season and play-offs and was pretty accurate...and to be honest it's a good thing we played a team with a brain dead HC leading them in the WF....

Definitely some prospects for 25' in that bunch....I hope we're bringing a few of them in to kick their tires....orrrr something else...Instead of a cup of coffee, they'll probably require a glass of bubbly on their quick exit....Walters has to be on it.....or something

Vivian Smith-Smythe-Smith was in the Guards ... this year's Damian Jackson?

Last season I didn't feel like our team was ever dominant.   Even when we were struggling in the previous seasons we still had guys who could create turnovers and where the team could put away others with grinding them down on O.   Last year we didn't have big play makers showing up game in and game out (Brady being the exception).

Bombers D was ******* good. Even in the grey cup,  but the reality is that you still need an offense to do their share in the CFL to have a hope.

The offence looked great against Sask. and Edm., not so good against the Argos though.  During that 8 game winning streak they beat the Riders, Lions, Elks and Ti-Cats twice  each but it was bookended by losses to the Argos.

Like I said, you need an offense to do their share. That first argos game, the offense fumbled a bunch in scoring range and had that dodgey third down spot... and the defense was still good enough in that game it took an error the cfl had to admit to for the argos to score enough to win.

For the amount of money spent on offense last season their performance throughout the season was nowhere near good enough.
