Well at least TSN stopped with the 54,000 are watching this game, clearly anyone with eyes can see this is not even close to being true

Definitely not, but Cuthbert is still the best ever. Borderline unwatchable is way too far. I don't love Nielson and Smith is a pro but is well past his due date. I think DT should be the next one called up to the bigs, and likely replace Smith. The analysts are varying levels, but Matty and Lapo are very good, Forde is solid and Suitor...... Ehhhhhhhhh..... 

It's all well more than serviceable and far from borderline unwatchable.

Also, Gord Miller was a fantastic PBP and I wish he was still on the CFL beat. For my money, I like him better on football than hockey.

Agree on Gord Miller. 

Smith is only good behind the desk, he has the delivery of a male Cassie Campbell. Hate him as a PBP guy. I never thought I’d dislike a voice more than Rod Black. 

Nielson should be doing pro wrestling. 

For my money Marshall Ferguson is the best PBP guy on TV currently but it’s a very low bar. 

Lapo should be the #1 colour guy, he’s great at it. 
Duane Forde is fine. Suitor’s an idiot. 

DT is fantastic and I selfishly wouldn’t want to lose him but he’d immediately be TSN’s best play-by-play announcer.

I usually mute them and put on the local radio commentary, i skip the halftimes entirely.

I don't know Derek at all (we have several mutual friends in the industry) but he is meant to be a national broadcaster for the CFL. He will be the best CFL national PBP in a very long time.... I say that as a broadcaster and a fan of broadcasting.

Cuthbert is completely unlistenable now as a homer leafs announcer and I don’t think he’s from Toronto

He’s from Brampton, Onatario.
 

I wouldn’t know one way or the other about hockey these days, I just know he was one of the all time greats for CFL games.

Cuthbert is the best hockey and CFL PBP of all time, without question. 

Cuthbert ain’t what he used to be. Not even close. 

Mills had one job. Not fumble. He did & it cost the Stamps the game. That Lions team are a bunch of yappy & arrogant pricks.

No kidding. I was out so I set the pvr to record the game. Good thing I was home before the end and noticed there was more game left than record time on the pvr.

Lol...the replay on the Beggleton 2pt convert showed him burying the nose of the ball in the turf. Suitor - "and the fact he was able to get his hand under the ball to keep it off the turf..."

I'd rather shave my head with a cheese grater while chewing on tinfoil than listen to the current studio crew.

I didn't mind Neilson early on but he's really getting on my nerves now. His sing songy/halting delivery makes me cringe.

I agree. He reminds me so much of Joey Styles (wrestling announcer from the 90s) 

Neilson would do well to have suitor taken away from him IMO.
