Yup Awe is the guy who has a hard timing reading the room on the field. i.e., victory formation sort of dictates one's next move.

September 15, 20231 yr comment_662108 Both upper decks have way less than 1/2 seats sold ..best fans for sure
September 17, 20231 yr comment_663651 In July, it was a country music festival & now it's harvest hurting attendance. Funny, that wasn't a problem until the last couple of seasons.

They were seling out until the season got cancelled in 2020. It's never really come back.

I think the biggest reason for their attendance downturn is that they have an inept head coach and a poor team. Just now, Tracker said: I think the biggest reason for their attendance downturn is that they have an inept head coach and a poor team. "Build it and they will come."
September 17, 20231 yr comment_663680 Riders fans are well known bandwagoners. They support winning teams but if the winning goes away for an extended period, the fans go away. Long history of that. Edited September 17, 20231 yr by Noeller

I maintain we have more true diehards than they do, but they (until recently) have more fairweathers who come out when things are good. But when things were truly shitty for us, we still had a lot of people coming out to games and buying gear and what not. More than any other franchise when things are shitty.... and IMO... that's the true measure of a fanbase.
September 18, 20231 yr comment_663697 All this talk about fanbase... It's just entertainment. As my wife said during the 2013 debacle season... "It's an outing" Of course it is easier to sell seats when the team wins. Thinking one fanbase is in any way superior to another is just plain silly

BEST FANS EVAR!!!!11!!!" The guy who used to walk around campus in a Nealon Greene jersey (LOL at that) sure OK I'll buy he was a fan through thick and thin but the people who think the late 2000s version of the Riders is the norm can get all the way ******.

Thus you get your clothes in green like you would wear a crucifix

My son was at a Boise State qb camp while in Grade 11 back in 2006. During scrinnage, he pivoted to hand the ball off to his running back. It was incredibly hot that day at nearly 40 Celsius & the sun beating down. I guess his hands were sweaty. Anyway, he lost control of the ball & fumbled it. One of the Boise State defensive coaches started yelling, "Nealon!" Nealon!" "Nealon!!" Pretty funny... Edited September 18, 20231 yr by SpeedFlex27
September 18, 20231 yr comment_663710 apparently there is building resentment on how much the Riders charge for just about everything. From tickets to concessions to merch. That's not helping their attendance issues either.
