December 23, 20222 yr comment_615809 Samberg with two brutal Defensive lapses tonight leading to breakaways and Hellebuyck has bailed him out both times. Can’t make those kind of mistakes at the NHL level, especially in Boston. Cheap penalty on Srenlund. Gets tripped and his stick flies up as he tumbled to the ice and clips the Bruin. December 23, 20222 yr Author comment_615811 Missed high stick on Lowry. F****** Boston refs. And a bullshit bounce gifts the Bruins a goal.
December 23, 20222 yr comment_615812 More than a few missed high sticks. Boston plays a real chippy, interference-style game. Lots of clutch and grab that they are allowed to get away with.
December 23, 20222 yr Author comment_615813 And another b******* penalty leads to a gifted Boston goal.
December 23, 20222 yr comment_615814 Not a great 2nd but the reffing is interesting letting Boston get away with running interference all game but calling us on ours I don't want to say refs are betting on games but when it's this blatant I mean it's pretty obvious they are
December 23, 20222 yr Author comment_615815 I've hated Boston ever since they won the 2010 Stanley Cup. The reffing in the cup series was just atrocious. They get away with so much it's infuriating.

December 23, 20222 yr comment_615817 Read my voluminous comments in the “Your Hate Goes Here” thread to get a feel for my disgust of all things Boston.
December 23, 20222 yr Author comment_615818 ******* hell. need to learn how to play 60 f****** minutes.
December 23, 20222 yr Author comment_615820 Love how Morgan Barron was manhandled at the blue line and no call. KFC has a glorious chance to tie it. Probably didn't realize he had a little more time. Shouldn't have got my hopes up after the first. That shitty bounce gave Boston the life they needed.
December 23, 20222 yr comment_615821 Boston still undefeated in regulation at home but an ok effort by a banged up Jets vs a healthy Best team in the league

He didn't realize how alone he was and how much time he actually had. So close. Considering how banged up they are, the Jets had no business being in this game. If they can sneak a point out of Washington somehow, call the whole trip a win.

That frikkin gift goal though........pisses me off.
December 23, 20222 yr comment_615836 Hellebuyck is considered one of the top goalies in the NHL & yet he gives up way too many of these shitty goals & they are momentum killers. Every damn time. Fans today say that goalies today are better than their counterparts from years ago but I don't believe it. I watched the NHL since I was a kid. There's absolutely no way goalies like Dryden, Cheevers, Esposito, Meloche, Bower, Giacomin, Hall, Plante, Sawchuk, Crozier gave up so many bad goals so often. Those guys could go years without giving up garbage goals like that. But today's NHL is all about 6'5 inch goalies that flop around on their knees trying to block shots with their oversized pads only to get beat high on the stick side.

The quality of shots in today's NHL - is much higher. I mean, the number of pucks Gretzky others bounced in from behind the net - was ridiculous

It's almost silly at how loosey goosey and how unstructured the game was in the 80's and before. It would explain why people could easily put up 100 points and have gaudy numbers.
